If you win this castle, it will not decay your current homes. Once traded, it will decay the new purchaser's homes.

I am just curious how much gold you would spend on tickets.

Tickets would be 2k like the MAG event.

I think it would remove trillions.

I would probably consider dropping about 5m on that. That would be about 1/4 of my total gold.

However, i would love to see a lotto that restricts purchases to only one shard per account. Sure, it might take less gold out of the game (or not since people would dump it all on one), but it would be more fair to shard residents as they would be bidding again less cross-shard RMT or resellers.

With a new computer and a better internet connection now, I might pay.

On the other hand, given the quantity and quality of scripters in the recent Magincinia lotto, and the fact that I would be competing with people who could buy a dozen or more tickets compared to my single ticket, I am not so certain.

Is it a number given to each ticket you purchased and then at said time of draw its pick out randomly.

Or is it who ever has the most and logs on first thing in the morning has a beter chance.
I think its unfare to have it who logs on first..
It should be like any loto system, were a number is given to each ticket you buy and then numbers are drawed on said day..

Could a DEV give some info here..since last draw was kind of odd some say..
Plus you guys have been MIA for awhile..

What about Luna penthouses on top of the upstairs part. small space, not customizable obviously, but with castle storage.

You might fit a half dozen or so up there depending on how big they were designed.

You know, a gold sink that allowed players to have a second home would probably work well. Like, if you want a second home on your account than you would have to pay a weekly amount in gold. If that home is on the shard you already own a house than it would be double. Seems to me if you charged a decent amount per week (Not a paltry sum like 50k, anyone who would have use of a second home should be able to afford a good bit more than that) than over time it would remove at least a drop from the bucket.

Ideas for gold sinks are all well and good but people forget that gold is an infinite resource. If more is needed, more will be generated. It just changes the in game time management of the players towards more farming. Is that what we want?

The only way any gold sink is going to actually work is for it to be ongoing & continuous. Something desirable or necessary enough that players will continuously spend gold to have it. One time gold sinks may remove a lot of gold but in the long run, gold is continuously generated and even the largest one-time gold sink won't make much of a difference.

First stop all cheating in Ultima Online and then it will be possible to talk about new stuff in the game.

The sooner the Developers finally realize that cheating needs to be STOPPED in this game, the better.

But the years go by and go by and this never happens. It is disheartening.....

It was once stated that the big cheater delete a few years back took out 15 trillions of gold....thats 15,000 billion!!! [ 1,000 billion= 1 trillion] magincia only got rid of maybe 50 billion...and tops 100 billion.....im lost to what really would make a perfect gold sink....

Sadly, most ideas that could even be considered a halfway decent gold sink (even the rubbish idea I posted above) are far more likely to end up being sold for cash than gold. The dev team is far more interested in squeezing every possible penny out of you possible than they are fixing a long standing issue. Although, I might not like it, I can also understand with this issue at least a little. It is a company. Nonetheless, it would be nice to have additions like I mentioned above being offered for a weekly gold payment instead of a one time cash payment.

I like the idea but it should be like 1 of a kind newly redesigned castle not the same castles UO has already. Also put limits on it since scripting was brought up on it. It cant be traded so it gets account bound. If the player quits the game the castles go up for auction yet again.

This would be you buy a ticket or 1000. Cost is irrelevant. All tickets go in bin and one winner is drawn.

The background is raising money for a dungeon gate inside luna.

More to the point for those that get stuck in details.

A lottery, like mag, for a castle on any dang land, that if you win you get without housing decay.

Im not sure how people are worried about scripter. They have no advantage on buying tickets. If you complaining oh they have so much gold.... You know what go kill stuff. You can make 50 million in a week...

Any reward castle needs to be a collection drop item from some heavy spawn area. A looted item drop chance. NPC collection for the win chance. Reward a player for playing the game.

Not unique if the plot stones stay we are the only 44 houses on each shard that actually has an address

Gold prices already starting going up... the gold sinks are working.

The 15 trillion gold deleted was possible because check of 999,999,999 gold were duped.
