Just FYI I won't be at the Sunday festivities on 2/22. I'm going to help the Atlantic City economy. They must be DESPERATE for people to come there. The last time I was at the Borgata was one time in 2006. They send me an offer for a $59 room Sun-Thursday. It's a sad call for help, so I'm going to go and take them up on it. It's about a 4 hour drive, the only fun is getting around Philadelphia. Once past that, you hop on the AC Expressway and you are there in 45 minutes. I don't mind going there for $59, beats the $380 they charge on the weekend. It'll be a fun time!

AC is really hurting. I have been getting pre recorded phone calls now offering free rooms from the Taj and Ballys. The Borgata has been giving me two free Friday and Saturday nights twice a month. I get 4 nights a week on weekdays. They have to be desperate to be doing that. Like I can afford to go gambling all those nights. Not!
We won't be getting in til around 1pm that day but we go to Ballys before checking in at the Borgata. Ballys gave us all free buffets at the Virginia City. Yum! LOL! We are going to play there til dinner, eat, then go to the Borgata.
This is my annual birthday trip there along with my neighbor who goes with me. I'll be back in April for my daughters birthday trip so maybe you will go then. I do a Sunday-Monday on that trip so Rachel doesn't have to take off work two days.

Good Luck Gamblers!! Have a great time and put a buck on black for me. I haven't been to a casino since summer when I got to visit the Indian Casino outside Escanaba, Michigan for a couple hours. The closest one here is another Indian casino near Ruidoso, but we have never gone to it. Maybe it's time to start helping the economy locally.....
Thanks, and will do! My plan right now is to get there around 1pmish and park at the Borg. Then take a taxi over to the boardwalk to Ballys and play there for awhile. Last time we drove and parked at Bally's, but on the way back we missed the turn and ended back on the AC Expressway. We ended up paying the toll twice to get turned back around! DOH. Then about 4pm head back to the Borgata to check in. I'm excited to go to the Panda Express for some Orange Chicken! That's some tasty stuff. Hopefully the weather holds out, and is fairly warm.

Who cares about the weather? Once I enter the casino I don't see outside til the next night. LOL! I couldn't tell you what's going on outside. Unless of course the roulette table is near a door where I can see out. We have driving to AC in snow, sleet, ice. Nothing stops us!
Haha Good point! It has since changed to sunny and 40. Although our local weather dude says a possible significant clipper system, but it looks more like Saturday. Either way, it looks good to go! I do hope it's half descent. I've decided to stay in the Marina area and walk the pathway over to Harrah's. I've never been there. I found some pictures, it looks like a fairly nice walk along the marsh. Have you ever walked it? According to the Trip Advisor people you go out the door where the Jitneys load past the poker room and it's out there.

Your link doesn't work. Are you not staying at the Borgata now? I am not familiar with any of the non casino hotels. I've never heard of walking around the marsh. Don't fall in! LOL! My mom stayed at one hotel a couple years ago that was not a casino hotel. She had to because they got snowed in and non of the other resorts were available. Anyway, she said that just when she was going to bed there was a bunch of noise next door along with police walkie talkie sounds. She opened her door to see what was going on and there were a bunch of police in the hallway. She watched them take a bodybag out and was told that a body had been found under the bed by the new people that had checked in! So look under the beds before settling in for the night.
OMG, I've heard stories like that, but wow. Yeah I tend to look underneath as a caution! I also heard it's a trend for businessmen to leave adult magazines under as a courtesy. I heard that on Bob and Tom I think. I'm still staying Borgata, not passing up my $59 rate. I just decided instead of doing the boardwalk, I'd just check out the other places in the Marina area. It's just Harrah's and then the Trump Marina. Just as long as the boogey man doesn't emerge from the water, I should be good..lol

Oh sweet! We made that mistake last time. We decided to go to the bar, and pay $7 for a mixed drink. I was like "dude, we could have got a free one out there". Have fun carrying your friend back to the room..lol Maybe you should rent one of those electric scooters!

The one woman reported some sleeping at the machines and they walk up behind you and ask for money. Security doesn't really care I guess. Then at Caesars and elderly couple was robbed and beaten down in an elevator on the way to the room. Luckily they caught that guy. I questioned if anyone has been to Borgata lately to see if they have gone there too. I would think since it's not right on the boardwalk, it shouldn't be as bad. If not I may have to head to Gander Mountain and pick up a taser gun before I go..haha

Nothing says AC like a taser gun! I don't think AC is any worse then it already was. There have always been seedy people around there. I know when I do walk the boards, which is only to get to Caesars from Ballys, there are always homeless people begging for money and lots of prostitutes. There is one prostitute that has been there for years. She looks like she was hung up went and put out to dry. She even comes with a gimpy leg. Bet that costs extra!

Times almost here! I got my suitcase out this am getting ready to pack! I also have to get to the bank to get my donation to the Boragata out too. LOL! I have been playing my slots games online practicing.

I don't think I've ever taken a laptop to AC. That is the one place I know I'll never use it. LOL! I barely am in the room. We get in about 3am and then go back out by 8am. I even hate to sleep that much and miss out on the fun!

There is a set of penny slots at the Borgato right next to the Bread Butter restaurant that are a lot of fun. They are HeeHaw and Playboy and are on a circular bank of machines. The Heehaw seems to hit the bonus all the time, got to love those chickens, and the Playboy bonus is really cute. You get to pick a playmate. LOL! Look for those machines when you are there. I always have good luck on them and don't play the max. I usually play $1 a pull.

I'm being a cheapskate and using the free wi-fi in the Living Room downstairs in the lobby, $10 for wired in the room, I don't think so! I already started a VLOG earlier, which I'll finish up later and post. I got here about 2pm and got checked in right away. My room faces the new WaterClub tower, pretty cool view. The light show from the new Harrah's tower is cool too. I'm amazed by the little things..haha Play has been fairly good, I've been up and down for the most part. Right now I'm about $70 down, which I find good for about 3 hours of play. I broke even on my afternoon session, which rocked. I'm just taking a breather now and then going up to watch Amazing Race at 8pm. After that I plan to come back down and do some damage, up or down! I have to take breaks, if not I'll go broke in no time. It's starting to clear out for the most part, so later I should have a free pick of machine. I haven't seen any prostitutes or BUMS here, so that's a mega plus..no Taser gun is necessary! I'll have my VLOG up tomorrow probably when I return home. Again, have a safe trip!

Alright, I'm back! Smooth sailing the whole way home, made it through Center Philly with no problems. I haven't gone through my video yet, but here is the photos I took:

So anyway last night I went and managed to get on the Wizard of Oz machines. I managed to get a bonus round which paid a few dollars. But then Glinda, the good witch appeared, like this video. She made two reels wild and I won $130 I think. I cashed that out and moved to the next machine that was open. I played through most of my earnings and finally Glinda appeared again. This time she made three reels wild and I cashed out with $177! I was psyched, as well as the little Asian woman standing behind me..lol Walking around a bit I played some WOF, Stinkin Rich, and a few other reels. Nothing really that big, put back in a bit. But I still had a $100 bill and some other cash. Before I lost it, I decided to call it a night about 10:30pm. I forgot how AWESOME the Borgata bed is. Wow that thing rocked. Before I knew it my alarm was buzzing at 7AM. I wanted to get an early start back home. So I threw some clothes on and ventured to some WOF machines. It ate through most of my money, but then when I put the second $20 bill in I got to spin the wheel and also had a 5X pay on two bars. I hit for 40 credits and with the 5X pay I cashed out with $70. Not a bad win for first thing in the morning. So I went to Bread and Butter and got a Ham/Egg croissant and orange juice for $10.50. It was good though, so I didn't mind paying it. Venturing back up to my room I packed up my things and ate half of my breakfast. I checked out on the TV, tipped the maid, and took all the freebies from the room.. Walking to the parking garage a WOF machine called my name. It ate through most of a $20 bill and then I got to spin. Spin the wheel and cashed out with $21.75. Hey that's a $1.75 I didn't have..haha
I made my way to my car, stopped in Allentown for a pee break and gas, and made it home by 12:15pm. They raised the tolls though, it costs $5 on the NE Extension in PA, both ways. $3 one way at the Whitman bridge in Philly, $3 on the AC Expressway both ways, and $.75 both ways as you enter AC. Plus the $5 to park, it's like $20 just to get there! Overall I gave them a donation of about $150. BUT with all the small wins, I felt good about the trip. After going back there, I like them much better than the PA Casinos. They are nice, but Borgata still has it going on. I was also shocked to not be carded one time on the casino floor. They layed some security, but the ones that were there didn't seem to care. I know I'm trying to grow my sideburns back, so maybe the extra facial hair let me through..lol If I get my video up and edited, I'll post it up then. Good luck Little Sadie, hope you make out well!

It sounds like you had some good luck Elga. Me, not so much. We went to Ballys first. We played there a bit and then ate dinner before heading over to the Borgata. There was some new machines there and I won $100. I came away over $100 up so that was pretty good. When we got to play at the Borgata they have given me $150 in slot bucks and $100 in bonus bucks. I played on that for a few hours so that was really good. I love playing on their money. LOL!
I found that Wizard of Oz also and really liked that machine. I got Glinda twice too. Once paid $180 and one paid $125. I got the Emerald City bonus too. You have to chose one of the Emerald Citys and that gave your bonus. There was either instant credits won, the Flying Monkey bonus, or spins. I ended up with the instant credits won unfortunately. That ended up being another $70 bucks but I would have rather had that Monkey bonus. I love bonus games.

My friend and I stayed up til 2am and ended up getting burgers from the Metropolitan restaurant. That place has the best burgers around. We got our meals comped so it tasted even better! By the time we went to bed I think I had lost $300 by then. I took almost $1000 and split it for both days. So I started with $500 for the first night and came back to the room with almost $200.
The next morning I didn't do any better. We decided to stay at the Borgata the rest of the day and it was a lot of fun. I got more bonus bucks for that day and that seemed to last a while. I then played on my money til about 5pm. By the end of the day I was down a lot more money! I came home with $200 which was bad for me. I usually break even of win a bit. So goes slot play.
My mom won over $1000 this trip. She really did well! My friend came back with half her money and she was still happy. All in all, we had a lot of fun and can't wait to go back. I think my next trip there is going to end up being in May since April is looking a little busy for me. Either way, it was a blast!

Also in the month of March they are offering $20 a week in free play. Beats the $8 Hollywood is still trying to offer me. I may go out on Saturday and get my free food. Oh wow, so luck was with me this afternoon! I've never won so much just in a consecutive manner ever. I played the $1 WOF machines, spun for $100 twice. I played WOF Super Spin and won $90 on that, a penny machine. I won another $70 at a $1 machine. Then I finally got in a bonus round on a Stinkin Rich machine that paid $117. I went with $260 and came home with $435. It was well worth the trip. Plus I got a smoothie from Ben and Jerry's comped! So basically it evened out losses from the AC trip. Good stuff!

I was at Hollywood on Thursday morning, had an itch that I needed to scratch. Gave them back a nice chunk. The itch went away, phew! Now I'm behaving myself until after May for our trip to Orlando. The Borgata must have been impressed with my play though..hehe I went and checked my room offers tonight and see I can get two FREE nights Sun-Thursday in May/June. If If I'm still semi-half unemployed by then I'll probably take them up on it. I like FREE stuff..
