Do you set goals for your avatar(s)?
If so what are they?
How’s your progress?

Well, not usually, but my current goal is to reach top of my career (EAL) and gain 20.99 in Body on my TC3 sim (which I rarely play now)

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

My current goal is to have a skillset that includes Revive and Lure.
If I ever do manage to get both, I hope to hang out at factories as work for tips as a Shaman HitMan.

My avatar will have the ability to give sim life and take it away.

It is quite possible I'll never actually park myself at factories once I have these two skills ... but just thinking about it cracks me up enough to keep me going in my pursuit.

I recently recreated a sim. Now she is a granny LOL

My goal for her is to have a rocking chair on her front porch, and
for her to be able to bake cookies, preferably chocolate chip!

I see you made a separate thread, here's what I wrote in response to your question in the 'fun' thread:

Coordinate your skills on your sims so that you can do custom crafting since that is money you can earn above and beyond your 3k a week. I sat down with pen and paper one night while hubby was on teh computer and gave each sim 3 skills and have been slowly working those sims up toward that goal. 3 sims are now completely skilled up. If you're doing this in EA Land you have 2 more sims to work on so you might even be able to coordinate it so that not all 8 sims would need 3 skills, some might only need 2, I'm not sure. But that is a large goal that would keep you occupied while all the changes with moneymaking are going on.

[/ QUOTE ]

Now, that *is* alot of skilling if you don't already have high skilled sims merged from other cities, which I don't, so that means you need other stuff to do while your sims are getting 'edumakated', so here's what I do during that:

Post on the boards.
Play with my membership at Pogo.
Read the blog.
Read the Wiki and daydream over the neat ideas and ponder whether or not they are realistic.
Play TS2.

or of course you could work on custom content for EAL but I don't do that yet since I haven't gotten very far in the learning process....but one day soon I hope to do that too.
So see, there's lots of ways to make the game work for you, even now that things are getting tough, while still supporting the game knowing that things aren't always gonna STAY this tough.

Find a newbie in TC3, mentor then and help them out. Encourage them to become a fully paid up subscriber and to quote your name when they sign up. Earn yourself 250 a week !

Rinse, repeat.

See if you can get a regular income of 1000 a week using this method

My current goals are longterm--build the rest of my house, furnish it, run it, and get to a high job level. I don't know if my attention span will hold, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Wow, your doing quite well there. I had goals set too until I looked at the pricing of the split rail fencing for my farm yard. Now that was funny because if i'm lucky and hit the EA Lotto, I can reach that goal by, hmmm 2009 hopefully!
Maybe if I sold my 3 robo dogs and 3 robo cats and 2 pinks and 2 purples and my many tigers and saints not to mention my 15 mystics or any other of my rares i've accumulated over the past 4 1/2 years I could do it.

My goals right now are to sell my stuff and finish my house so I can open my romance lot. I've discovered I actually enjoy building, even though it can be very frustrating, not to mention expensive, when you miscalculate something.

hahaha. I can't even count the number of people I've revived after I've lured them to their death at factories. Worthy goal. I recommend it to everyone!

Do you set goals for your avatar(s)?

Yes! I had that goal for about 4 years now.

If so what are they?

To serve and protect a certain avatar in TSO/EAL. I'm not gonna say who that avatar is, but it rhymes with "Booty Chai"

How’s your progress?

Ugh, not so good

Do you set goals for your avatar(s)? I haven't set any goals in the new game, I had tons for TSO. And I basically did them all... within the first 2 years :p
If so what are they? I think at this point I want to learn Custom Content. Before it gets way ahead of me and I can't do it.
How’s your progress? Terrible, anytime I get into EA-Land I end up playing around and goofing off. My Avatar is unfortunately not very goal oriented

Which is why all of them have tons of locks and are only using half

My Sims goal right now is to : Buy and Own a House
To skill all of my Sims with 57 locks Each (92 when amnesty comes) would be insane.

By the way, I want my Amnesty already (not for the locks though, lol)
