Wow... you people are insane...
1st... Glacial pets have been around forever on TC... since they introduced "Get Air"... which has been there for ages ... there is another color that is rare as well as the glacial... I forget what it is... but equally has hideous... but it's TC so who really cares.
2nd... it's just SAD as **** that Mesanna had no idea about "Get Air" in the first place... or what is "normal" on TC... sad... just sad. Pathetic almost. She has been around longer than I have and the fact that she was unaware of that is just pathetic.
3rd... someone attempting to block people from voting and participating in an event IMO should get a warning to stop it... and then a BAN... continued harassment of players after that rope was put up ought to get them a permaban... especially on an EJ account.

What make me more sad is that Mesanna says "I used to play back in the day" but if she did how didn't she not know about the Glacial pet air freshers? Forget being Dev what about the "time" she "played" UO. I am going to guess she didn't "play" but kiss old dev bottoms.

If you could get back far enough on here, through previous versions and pre crashes you'd find that Mesanna did know about 'give air'. There was a discussion many years ago about being able to dye pets where it was brought up and discussed. What she may not have been aware of is the full range of colours it can come in. Dig through your memories @MalagAste and @Dot_Warner you'll know I'm right.
Er...I never said she didn't as I know she must have when they put out the ghastly dipped-in-paint pet hue idea, I have a vague memory of the air freshener being a blah attempt to mollify the...ah *covers Malag's ears while jingling keys to distract her* ahem... loudest voices. Since it was ~a decade ago, she has probably forgotten that glacial was a possibility.
Hell, I briefly rocked a glacial llama over there at one point. It was just too ridiculous not to do.
I just think the drama over something that's only on TC1 (thus zero impact on the game) is peak UO bat guano. Hence the popcorn.

Way more leeway here i am very vocal often in a way that is perceived as negative but personal attacks is another thing i can separate the feeling that messanne the developer doesn't please me and that bonnie is a human who deserves respect an art that seems lost in today's world

The Glacial color dye tub came from a corrupt EM, Clops. He was dying items with it and selling them for RL Cash through a network of his broker contacts. He got caught. His houses and all items in them were completely destroyed by the dev team, which was a tragedy for UO's Rares History, because he had a good number of UO's legit unique event items on display in his houses. All the other EMs then lost access to the tools and functions that Clops used to create his illegal black-market "rares".
Clops' actions had a big ripple effect on UO's Rares Community and EM Events. Subsequently, the UO Devs have an inquisition and crusade in regards to Glacial colored items.

There's always one that ruins it for the rest.
I remember a rogue companion on Baja used to abuse his teleport function to teleport himself in and out of the doom gauntlet area.
Another used to do it in Ilshenar too, a tamer, he would go the nightmare spawn area, tame it, teleport to haven, stable it, teleport back, repeat, then sell them at the bank.
All you had to do was type ".th" and it would teleport your character to the centre of old haven, then typing .th again would teleport you back.
It was =th but yes, it was instant teleporting. Also back then, non (young) players could not enter Haven.
Companion powers actually worked for quite a long time after the program was shut down. The commands stopped working when Stygian Abyss launched.
