How did these items come to exist, are they legitimate and legal to own them. I'd love to know a back story on these items since returning.

There was a method of making a "copy" of items.

Most people call it a dupe, but it didn't duplicate the properties. Just made a blank item that looked the same.

They are copies of rares, they are legal to own and impossible to make now.
