Here is the email I have received from Mesanna confirmed in writing that She will not nor will any GM's delete Glacial Cloth.

Ethereal Cloth will however be deleted on sight.

Hopefully this will bring some people out of hiding who have any cloth that they are willing to sell! You are safe to do so. I am looking for either 16 Glacial Cloth or a Glacial robe. This can be as discreet as possible if you wish to PM me in regards to this.

That was fixed a long time ago.
Since then hues.mul has been updated to correctly display this once "corrupted" hue.

Not the same hue# tonight's drop is 1099. Given there could be a discrepancy in the hue numbers of beta/tutorial cd vs these days, as there are more these days than there were back then.

I haven't gone back and looked at that convo again in a while, but "there could be a discrepancy in the hue numbers of beta/tutorial cd" = yes. For any hues or color codes that old, add 2 to get the modern hue #. Plain and black didn't originally have hue numbers; when they added the legit version of the black dye tub, they inserted those two at the top. (So blue hue 3 today would have been 1 in those days, and so on).

As for "ethereal", it's not actually a hue. That's my guess as to why it's illegal. It's a different "transparent" flag, , hence why we see hue # 16385 for the hue. That's hex 4001, or black hue (1) + transparent bit (4000). Transparent isn't well tested, other than on certain specific items, like mounts.

The Ethereal items i see I are usually hue #30000

Ethereal items are always 16385. 33770, 33784, 33785, 33808, 33820 and the like are all skin-tones - you'd see those if you're getting the hue off a player or NPC...

There is a crook in a public house on Chessy, felucca along the west side of the Covetous mountain. Ethereal and hue #30000. Someone attempted to sell an ethereal crook in the Pacific Raresfest, it too was hue #30000. Two Ethereal cloaks I used to own but handed over to Mesanna about 5 years back, hue #30000.

Not saying you're wrong, just saying that in all of my experience with ethereal items, the hue has always been #30000.

Yes, it still exists - I know of 3.
