Giant Turkey quest

I found giant turkeys around the world. But the quest is not finished?
And another thing, I have found a died little turkey like a loot. What have i do with this? I'd like to use a dagger on it but is it right?

The turkey event is still going for alittle while now.
The dead turkey you can turn in to a Butcher NPC for a reward, the Harvesters Blade. the Harvesters blade works like a Butchers war cleaver, you use it to skin corpses for leather and it will auto loot the items for you.

The REAL benifit to the Harvester Blade over the Butcher's War Cleaver is that it auto loots feathers!

The rest is just junk stuff.

It autoloots:

Leather
Feathers
Scales
Meat (including ribs and raw birds)
Dragon's Blood

AND

IT gives you +1 per 10 (or fraction of 10) over and above what you get normally.

So a giant Turkey gives 55 feathers instead of 50; a Dragon gives 8 scales instead 7.

A slith will give 11 leather (instead of 10) to elves and gargs; 13 leather (instead of 11) for a human.

has this changed at all from last year?

or maybe im doing something wrong.
cause i didnt take any quest last year, i just killed the turkeys.

and eventually i got a plucked turkey which i traded in to the butcher for a harvester blade.

now this year ive killed over 100 turkeys and done probablly 50 maps and have yet to see a plucked turkey.

so is there a different way to get the harvester blade..... a quest?

No -you need a plucked turkey but they seem to be even rarer this year.

NO same as last year Poo... and I had the same luck last year.... never got one ever myself.... friend got me one and it's been awesome.

I did actually get a plucked chicken this year. So keep trying Poo perhaps you'll get lucky.

Just as a side note.....

I got a plucked turkey from clicking on the giant turkey eggs in the nest. I was kinda shocked when it dropped into my pack. I was expecting that if I got one it would be in a turkey corpse or in the bag at the nest.

It took some time for me to figure out, why i am getting 26 leather in fel from a mob with a harvester blade when i was getting 'only' 22 with a butchers war cleaver. Since this is yet not mentioned here:
10-leather mob --> 11 human ---> 13 harvester blade ---> 26 from beeing doubled in fel
So its a win for me of 4 extra leather for each of 'my' mobs in fel.
