I will be taking up a collection for shatterproof lenses for your next pair of glasses to prevent sleep related keyboard collisions.

Love to Bea and the littles too.

As long as they keep amusing and do not offend anyone I will keep them coming.
Yes the "sneeze " is indeed a classic. She's been promoted to the GIL boards

Hehe - nah, no offense though they do make my wife frequently exclaim - WHAT kind of board are you reading???

And definately add a wish to Otto for a speedy recovery!

I am not sure what happened to Otto, but from Aeowyn's post, I am guessing it was an injury resulting from one of his narcolepsy spells. :(

I will keep him in my prayers.

Get well soon Otto!

My thanks to all for their kind wishes!

Aye, twas not a pleasant experience.

The curse cast upon me by the druids of Morpheus in the spirit realm struck again, and I fell, hard, face-forward, shattering the supposedly unbreakable mystic lenses that afford me sight in that strange land. A total of five very small fragments made their way into my eye itself, and more into the flesh around the eye. Poor Beatrice found me face down in a pool of blood. Apparently, the folks living three miles away are still being treated for ruptured eardrums.

The healers thought they had removed all fragments - but had only found four of the five. The fifth decided to make itself known two days ago, rather messily.

Tis nothing short of a miracle that I have not completely lost the use of that eye, but the healers assure me that it should be back to normal in about a month. Until that time, I have no depth perception whatsoever, as one eye needs to be covered all the time, and keep walking into things.

Thankfully, from all my sightless time in our fair lands, I am used to walking into things, and have lots of practice. *sighs*

But, I should be around a little in the coming days! More so, once the new lenses have been constructed! In the meantime, good Dante has the lead of KSS, and I am sure will bring a hefty dosage of justice to the lands!

*goes to writhe in agony as he puts in the thrice-daily eye drops*

Get well soon Otto :thumbup:my dad knows what your going thru he got charcoal ash in his eye and it was 6 to 8 months for him to fully recover but that was 3 years ago and he did. The eyes are special for they have a very fast recovery rate. My dad hated wearing the patch but he also had to apply a gel to his eye every few hours and that was painful at first that said. Get well soon

Otto, if you wanted to wear an eyepatch for Bea to show how dashing you are, you could have chosen a less traumatic way of going about it. :(

Glad to hear that all the glass fragments have been removed, and hope you are seeing clearly (or at least as clear as before) soon.

Since I'm only able to stare (squint?) at a screen every now and then, please pardon the delay in responding. Six months?!? Ow. I hope not. If these strange people with their torches and prodding devices are to be believed, I'm well on the mend. With some luck, I should have my new lenses by tomorrow - but I do need to limit the amount of time I spend in front of strange, glowing, rectangular boxes, and need to keep one eye covered much of the time. The foul-smelling eye-drops are also a major part of my daily routine now. I just keep telling myself it could have been FAR worse! Thanks again to all well-wishers!

:thumbup1: I have to say, I like these new forums. Tis as if some aspects were made with me in mind! :thumbup1:
