I have been told that the addtional 5 hci for gargoyles is part of the their racial abilities. I don't see it under the passive skills list. Do i need to gear up my gargoyle with 50 hci or only 45? Thanks for the help.

In the EC if i strip my gargoyle down it shows 5 HCI so it would seem its there ! not in game to check the racial tab!

the 5 hci was added a little while ago(they also increased hci cap for gargs to 50), don't think they have updated the book in paperdolll yet. so 45 hci on items + the 5 hci racial bonus wil take you to the max (50 hci) for a garg

It's an attempt to make the gargs a little more attractive. But it still doesn't help with the crazy throwing skill. This skill is still meh.

I also wonder if the gargs get the FC bonus when near death. I'd have to check this.

They don't get that FC 1 bonus anymore(it was about pointless anyways). They get a DI bonus to there attacks every certain % of damage they take.

Yes Gargoyles, as near as I can figure have 6 racial bonus..

1) flying, can't mount by can move at mount speed
2) Bezerk mode.. for every 20% health loss equals a +15 DI or +3 SDI bonus.. capped at +60 DI and + 12 SDI
3) Increased chances to imbue, enhance and unravel
4) Deadly aim +5 HCI cap is 50HCI
5) 30 innate skill in Mysticism.. so if you carry reags/lrc on suit you can cast 4 or so Mystic spells w/o investing any skill (not sure if it stacks with 120 mystic skill to make 150 mystic.. I'm sure someone will check me if I'm wrong)
6) +2 MR which does stack with focus/med
