gargoyles throwing..parry..

i know like 2 patchs ago they made where throwers could use parry with a shield.

this made it so you didnt have to have swords to negate the penalty.

does it work? can u parry while throwing?

also, can a thrower evade with bush/parry?

I'm pretty sure throwers can't parry with a shield. You also get nerfed to hell in HCI if you wear a shield, not sure if 120 parry completely offsets it.

I tried it shortly after the patch and I seemed to be hitting and parrying less than expected, so I stoned it off.

I've been killing monsters for hours on end and noticed that i hit 50% of the time with a shield and 90%+ without, these are estimates and not based in MATH. The char has 120 throwing and gm parry with max hci/dci.

I run 120 throw tact anat 110 parry 110 swords 90 chive and 100 necro(not a whammy) I do notice a small hit chance neg.

just to be sure I carry a trap box and use the swords to whirlwind lvl 1-~3 then throw 3-champ. No wraith only vamp and do just fine. I dont have the 100% armor ignore that wraths get but im 2 out of 3 for AIs.

The parry works well enough as in I do parry blows but I do miss about as much as an archer so I would say the hit chance neg is negated by parry skill.

Yeah, it works, but like a few others mentioned the HCI is still screwed up for some reason. I think when you put the shield on your HCI per throwing range gets messed up because after I take off the shield everything goes back to normal.
