is this possible and if so with what type of axe? Are there gargoyle axes? Or is chopping trees impossible for gargoyles? My gargoyle tinker cannot create anything that i seen that would fit a gargoyle for chopping wood.

Yes, I tried it. Gargoyles can use some double axes. Lumberjacking gains strength fast like it should.
