The planter has me a lil pissed. To be honest, the planters were one of the only reasons I wanted the mini packs to begin with.

The Devs should've put the planters on the website by themselves, they would've made more money.. I would've rather spent the 9.99 on a pack of 10 planters vs the one we get with the account upgrade.

I'm just hoping that at this point a Dev comes by and corrects me, but unless there is another way in game to get these, that we dont know about, the pack has just become worthless, imho.

Agreed. I would have upgraded for a bunch of attractive planters--but under no circumstances for 1 planter and stuff I didn't need.

And we would have had yet another simplification of the game. Can't kill monsters quick enough? Have a greater dragon. Fed up with filling your water jug? Have an everlasting one. Don't want to have to water and feed your plants? Have a planter.

I wouldn't get too upset just yet (at least at this particular). I would bet a castle that after they make their first wave of money off the booster, that they will release packs of them. You know after the ppl that do like them go out and buy one for each of their four accounts just to have enough to do anything.

I figured there would be a catch, catch is you only get 1. Maybe the Dev's don't garden, and They have no use for several. I rarely ever garden, so 1 would be fine for 'me', however, I can think of extremely few Gardners who wouldn't like several.

I like to garden in UO. Just recently started a huge crop of plants on Siege, in fact.

However, after testing the beds on TC1, I'm not at all tempted to use one. If I do upgrade, it will be for the craftables and access to the encampment system. The beds take up far too much space and for too many days for what you end up harvesting from them; are unwieldy for someone who likes to or needs to frequently customize their house; are very bland looking; for the first six days of a plant's life, make it difficult to tell exactly what you have growing; and offer no flexibility whatsoever for rearranging your growing plants into a more aesthetically pleasing arrangement in your house.

I'm pretty sure I'll be sticking to gardening with water and chemicals!

Flutter is right on with her post! definitly shoulda been crafted item with the booster now that i know you only get one i don't think i will be spending any of my money on the 2 new crappy boosters! Though i sorta want to use the animal brokers i just don't agree with them not being like a house vendor! if the animal broker was a vendor for a home i would buy but no thanx on either of them! Shoot i am still kicking myself for high seas! waste of money!

Maybe they should be craftable garden Racks instead, stackable, w/ raise-lower, 3 or 4 in a stack(enough to tell what's planted), like you see at an actual garden shop. That would give space, viewing, and quantity?

The beds are not actual containers, probably so no one can exploit them by trying to stuff more into them than was intended. Each plant takes up one tile of floor space. I would hate to see what extending that concept to try to accommodate additional plants would look like. A big 9x9x18 cube?

Plants already take up a tile, if you lock them on the floor to grow... the only difference with the planter is that you dont need to water them, use potions and you cant walk thru them... but then again with potted plants locked down, there are some you cant walk thru anyway

The planter included in the $10 pack lets you grow up to six plants simultaneously. Just want to make sure passer bys know that since not a lot of people read the Test Center thread.
