Ok, this is was a little wierd after asking about gaining parry a few days ago. I finally found the Yew Sheep Pen, guess my eye's are getting bad, equipped my buckler and the gains flew for awhile. They stopped flying at about 58ish and I settled in for the long haul. Well I decided to start training Chiv while I was waiting for parry gains and decided on CW. As soon as I equipped the dagger the gains for parry started soaring. I've gained 11 points just during this post! What is up with that? I'm going Bushido also, but I don't have any points in it yet. Any ideas?

Edit: LOL! I just died to a bunch of sheep while typing my post :)

If you have Bushido turned up, you HAVE to have a weapon in hand in order to have any chance to parry. Additionally, in order to get the most out of this method of gaining, you should equip a weapon you DON'T have skill in, and also equip a shield as you are. You want to have the least chance to parry as possible, so you also want to make sure you don't have any DCI on any equipment either.

And yeah, you've got to watch out for those sheep. They'll gank ya if you're not looking. :stretcher:

You actually want to drop the shield and equip a 2handed weapon of a skill you don't use.

dont use DCI?

I been trying it with almost 40% thinking that more parries = more gains? is that wrong?

You want exactly the opposite. Besides, DCI isn't Parry. It's part of the chance to hit or not be hit according to weapon skill. I know it sounds backwards, but that's the way it works for this method.
