Gagless ubers?

WTH is a gagless toon? I read on another board that someone almost had to use a gag in the vp battle. Apparently they were mad because when in battle, two other toons pulled out professor petes to give her gags. She said she ALMOST had to use one but she didn't. She took screenshots and it showed her gags at 1/10 for both throw and squirt yet her merits needed where now at 400. Is this for real? I might anger some here but I think that is really ridiculous. I don't see them any better then the ones that don't regag before battles. I cannot imagine someone purposely not bringing gags and riding on others coattails. What does everyone else think?

Thats ridiculous, i would never go with them. Im guessing they just tagged along in factories joining the fight at the last second.

I agree with you. This goes along with the mouse who will only use drop, the Toonupless that refuses to get goggles or piano (I actually know two of these! Big toons maxed in everything!), and the 40 laff two-track ubers. I just don't understand. It's one thing to make a challenge for yourself, but not at the expense of others.

What's sad is most often these are people with maxed toons that should know better. I remember when I first read about this happening on another board and how up-in-arms everyone was about it. I didn't think it would keep happening. I should've known better.

I hada toon follow my group of 3 thru the factory. He was always a step behind until the last battle. Then he stood inside the room in the corner until we were on the last cog and jumped into the battle for credit. I never got his name but he was at least a 45laff. I wish I had the fog horn then I would have left him in the corner alone with no win.

It makes no sense to go into any battle with LOW gags. If it is a jelly bean thing you can ride the trolly or fish. There is no reason to not have gags. This isn't a site for homeless toons. Every toon has a home in TOONTOWN.

I also see there are one track 15 laffers. Why would someone just have a one track uber. I worry about being a 15 laff two track and how others percieve me. I would hate to only come in with throw. I did see the person I was initially referring to only plays with friends and she was on an uber key run with them. I still don't see what the challenge is to doing a gagless wonder. You rely on others to do your work. You don't have to max gags. It is just a noob from TTC getting to vp. No clue what the fun of that is.

I just read the thread you are referring to and I feel better knowing the whole thing was a joke among friends during a maxing all uber run. Like I said above, I'd only heard of this once before. I'm glad to hear this isn't a mainstream problem!

Yes they were all playing together so it wasn't bad. The thing is that she still is a gagless uber. I just don't see the reason why. Should have added that on another board there is also a gagless uber. Also the one trackers, and there are many that I have read about. I can't imagine only having one track.

Yes, it was all in fun for her. Her first post acted like she was angry at being griefed. I was surprised as she really is a nice person. She has a lot of great toons. She also agrees with me on the one track ubers. She doesn't go out of her way for them and won't go on revenge runs with them. Apparently there is much debate on one track ubers. I have only heard of them yesterday.

Ubers are small toons with maxed gags. They aren't ubers. They're just small. Very small.

I wouldnt load with them. Not even in CCG. It's been covered there too. They should go with their friends in a private district, otherwise there's a G word to associate with them. They dont have to show off their freeloaded suit to me and expect Kudos.

I hope the gagless Uber thought is just a joke or at least something people are only doing with friends. It would be funny to see, but I would be ticked if I accidently loaded with one. I would send them packing if I was caught in battle with one unknowingly.

I love the maxed gag Ubers and intentionally load with them for the thrill. I even made one ... Rata Tood. He's a 36LP 4 tracker Hollywood 26.

I must say though... loading with no gags will earn the person a green taxi ride to the playgound... pedicures are optional...LOL

Welcome Deputy Mac! Glad to see you found your way over here! And yes, it was a joke among friends. It didn't seem that way at first. I have read of another one and wouldn't like loading with them either. It is bad enough to go in with anyone that needs gags, much less have no gags.

I think the idea behind this is absolutely hillarious!! I would love to help someone accomplish something like this just to mix it up. And I still think the idea of getting thru DG tasks without throwing a gag is the funniest thing I have heard of in a long time!! But of course this would involve friends, not randoms. To put this on a random is just wrong, as wrong as SOS shopping with randoms. If you are with all friends and they know what is going on, I think it is great. Sometimes just doing something to do it is reason enough!! For me, having fun with friends is what TT is all about and goofing off like this could be a LOT of fun!! I agree though that if you get on my elevator as a random and try it, I may run out of TU also!!!

Well if it's the same one from months back I know who it is, and they are very serious and believe they have some toon who has achieved something fantastic. Elitism will do that to the mind :loser:

I remember a toon from a couple years ago that only used squirt and throw he was a high laffer with all his gag tracks he simply refused to use any of them. I didnt like working with him because I thought it was very selfish. Perhaps hes the one that started it all. I wouldnt call them ubers tho, maybe anti-uber, or how bout moober (moocher uber)? I agree this kind of thing is fine with friends tho. It would be kind of fun to have each toon in a group of friends pick a diff track to work, working together they could take teamwork to a whole new level.

Now that I would participate in. One toon choose a gag and that the only gag you can use in any level of it. That would be a challange. It would also be a way to get someones growing toon their level 7 gags they so badly want.

The toon that the this thread was originally made about is a great friend of mine... She usually runs 3 accounts at the same time and got her suit by herself while running her other toons.... The particular toon (she claims its a turtle) while it cant help out with any gags in battle, it does carry a few decent SOS cards in case things get hairy... This (turtle) is also an excellent stunner when it comes to VP.... She does not claim the toon is an uber nor would she EVER run it with anybody other than friends.

As for the 1 tracker with throw only..... Ive done several VPs with him... While I disagree with the idea, Im glad they at least have the gags to help out in the battle. Again, an excellent player... and a little bit of a thrill to play with.

While were on the topic of discussion though.... I did a VP or 5 a while back with a 40 something laff toon that had TU only. She had TU maxxed and all other gags at 1. Seems this toon will never make it of MML (cant deliver a cream pie) This kind of toon I completely disagree with. It should only be played with with friends....

Now... lets discuss the 130something laffer with JUST throw and squirt... maxxed all bosses nothing but throw and squirt... Im sure he took a lot of griefing along the way ehh?

I think I just happened to notice once... usually in CCG runs I dont look because for loading it's irrelevant. Except until that first toon you mentioned started loading in their runs - now they load with friends because there was a backlash when CCGers were first subjected to their "experiment". With all those good friends they didn't need CCG.

Anyway, back to the one-tracker. I didnt notice when he was in runs with me that he was just throwing. I guess I saw him doing soundless things and that was that. Then once I looked and thought "HUH???" That's a sure sign that he wasn't a burden.
