I am moving Miranda's Carpentry Shop back about 2 houses north. While I like the pixies it is pitiful, seeing some of my shoppers being res killed at my ankh of Sacrafice .... by the pixies.

The House Teleporter from my Trinsic bridge home to Miranda's FORMER house, is no longer working to to my prior location.

The house teleporter tile just now, has been relocated at the new WinterMYTH Carpentry shop, by the *white tree* North Gilfane. The house teleporter DOES work now to & from my Trinsic Bridge home to this newest location for Miranda's carpentry.

I should be done relocating the vendors [from my Pixies home] to the new house north in a day or two.

I did toss a rune in to the pouch hidden there, it still marks a rune to one of the hidden Malas locations. Ya have to have your circle of transp. set to over 60 or 90 to see the pouch at all behind the albino tree.

The one in Hans. Hotel in Gilfane tho. is locked, so it didn't work for me.

Anyhow I was located about 2 houses south of this location, only problem there was the pixies spawn in 3 locations in Gilfane. South Gilfane way far off, but the middle of Gilfane, and the north spawns BOTH flew up to my home, at almost the same time. Twice as many as my N. Iantown Pixie house had spawning of em.

I picked this spot cuz it was right behind where I was anyhow but without the pixies, and that tree just makes me remember a snowy player run KSS town of 'Wintermoor', which I once was a part of here, on Siege. So the white tree feels like *home* to me. I went green and white. I often call my carp. shops WinterMYTH, my hybrid naming of memories of KSS / Wintermoor and the MYTH guild name. Thus WinterMYTH.

Well it is not like carpentry items in and of themselves are a huge ticket sellin buncha items, anyways.

The alchemy/scribing/fishing/chefing/petals are all over at my Trinsic Bridge home now, where there is no fencing.

IF someone is killed out there though, at my N. Gilfane spot, they can remain dead or they 'can' enter the open to the public fenced in, first floor patio with the Ankh Of Sacrafice to res. or hit the house teleporter tile to and fro, in same first floor patio, to race back to my Trinsic house, to res downtown.

Vendors can be pulled down right at the house sign or even side yard, if one is shoppin there, the vendors can actually pop in the yard. Lotsa folks just hit the house signs, too to get all the vendors names, to show their wares, and then can buy from them.

Some folks here do not even have their vendors showing cuz they are all inside, not even showing till ya see all their names. And some have em all accessible and never even restock much. I restock pretty fast.

Ah well if shard doesn't pick up, nor sales all over, for many of us, there will be lots of us closing down or leaving UO, anyhow.

One can try their best, to be somehow useful here on Siege, in some puny capacity or another, like Carpentry, oft it is never good enough, anyways.

Thank you. Some one found the 2 houses back location and come by earlier and bought up all me rarewood chests, loom, spinning wheel, an oven, some chairs, tables, and some goza mats. Tomorrow I will KILLZ some trees and restock those items.

Now if I can just get my new 17 inch, i7 Win. 7, UO to look more like my win xp UO, without screwing up my new laptop's spiffy visuals, in the process; I'd be an even happier camper. Am happy UO dwld onto new laptop successfully dwld. and rather rapidly too. So I can play it at all...but...

Win XP nice big single picture of UO with paper doll on the side. Win 7 huge arse black background screen, a smaller overall UO picture, with paper doll and everything else with way too much room for them to be viewed in the rest of the black background screen, around the uo picture itself sorta thing.

With my XP the uo itself picture of on screen box is larger, with only a lil bit of black background boxing for paperdoll etc. to be beside UO online screen picture. *is confused*

I prefer the WIN XP UO boxed or framed set up look for playin UO, but I sure don't want to mess up win 7 to play UO XP style either.

QZ, what do you have for the video settings in the client? Isn't there an option for "windowed mode"? Also, there should be settings for screen resolution. Your new laptop likely has a greater resolution range on its video card/display than your old desktop.

When you play a game that is low resolution, such as UO in 800x600, on a screen set to high resolution, it only takes up a portion of the overall screen. If you lower the resolution on your laptop's display (right click on desktop, choose properties, then in the Settings tab, there should be a slider for screen resolution. It may be different in Windows 7, I'm not familiar with that OS). When you play UO, that should make the program fill up the screen better when you play. For example, for a non-widescreen display, try 1024x768 resolution, or for widescreen I think the equivalent would be 1280x800. It is easy enough to switch back for movies and other things that benefit from the higher resolution.

Thank you Skylark, hopefully I can try what ya suggested or find some thing some where so old UO looks the same on spiffy new 17 inch screen Win 7. I am still boppin back and forth on my two computers for now, XP dial up and Win 7 17 inch i7 whatsits speedy mode. I wrote down your suggestions so I have them in case I screw up doing/trying to do it, kinda learn as I go mode.

The thing came with a mini movie, I WAS IMPRESSED...and did a wow, new lap top ...even beats my tv set, pre HDwhatevers, for viewing a movie.

I sorta feel like a dinosaur, that with ordering this new lap top has, discovered outter space.
