Fresh tames keep attacking?

How do I get a fresh tame to stop attacking me?

Last night my new rune beetle attacked me non-stop in Luna. I wasn't taking damage, but I couldn't stable it either.

I fed it and it kept attacking me.

Eventually it stopped on it's own, but there has to be a better way.

Invis yourself. If that doesn't fix it, invis the pet and yourslef.

Also, if you are still taking damage from the pet before it was tamed, such as bleed attack or poison, you need to stop taking damage before getting near a freshly tamed pet... made that mistake a time or two with cu side, and the rune beetles.
