Freeze, dont move, creature kill

As of 12/09/11 on Atlantic, in the morning, I was killing paragons in the abyss and had freezing up a few times, and death followed.
Today 12/10/11 I went to the Dojo and freezing up again, three times in a short period, death followed again.

I have run speed test on my isp and it seems to be fine.
A friend told me last night he was having the same freezing up, so is there anyone else out there having this happen to them?

I had the exact same problem this morning, never had it before...
at least it wasn't just me!

It happens to me since... well, since i remember. In my case i think is due to some hiccups in the connection. I have it just with the EC and ultima online but i think is that.

Had it also, yesterday afternoon, right after i had honored 5-6 daemons in SA. I know my processes stay minimum, and no-one else was home to share my bandwidth, so I chalked it up to either my IP or an IP in-between here and the server, Or, maybe a patch was being applied on the back end.

I have also had this problem,
I thought it was my mouse giving up.Then i thought i got disconected but my pet was still taking damage.I couldnt move, couldnt click anything.All i could do was relog and go res somewhere cos when you have 3-4 mobs be tanked by your pet guess who they target when your pet gets auto stabled
Its not the first time this has happened either, its just weird cos you have NO control on anything, all your control just freezes, can still hear gen chat, see people talking etc tho.

long ago the game used to crash and you had to log off and back on to fix it. I died numerous times due to that including my first death to a grizzly bear. I dropped magery after GMing it for swords because you autodefend with swords but not magery. Lost connection froze a few nights ago and came back to find i had not died on my gm axer.

I had the exact same problem yesterday or the day before. And I don't remember something like this happening since years.

what shard are you reporting this happening on?

Its always better to know it might be a UO problem and not your mouse, or graphics card or processor going out on you.

This type of freezing is the same we had about six or seven months ago. I notice it more because I am up every morning and running my theif through doom, dojo, abyss and underworld. I typically play every day.

It is a UO Problem. What happens is your client freezes as far as uploading goes, but you are still downloading. So its like you are paralyzed, You can't move, can't cast, can't open anything, But you can still see everything that is going on Around You.

This same problem has been happening to me for at least 2 weeks now on Atlantic--more so than normal, that is. I stopped going to Shame and started doing some crafting and much needed house organizing. At least when I freez up crafting, I do not relog into the gray screen of Death!

Earlier today, I had the EC close on me, out of nowhere. Was in shame killing the vortices with a group there (was not in group), after one of them died I tried to loot it and *POOF* client just closed for no reason. No error, nothing. Never had that happen before.

Logged in just fine and was still alive fortunately.

Kinda think I might have found the cause of this..

It would help if people having this problem mentioned how much RAM you have and the size of your page file.

No way to tell if it was just the cause of MY problem or something more common.
