I'd just like to take half a moment to offer a tip o' the hat to the departing EMs, especially since it seems like many of the long-time EMs have recently decided to retire. So here's a round of Hidden Valley Ale to their memory:

EM Avalon
EM Crysania
EM Cyno Razik
EM Drosselmeyer
EM Requiem
EM Takako

(and slightly less recently, EMs Borbarad, Barnaby, Aname, Corathan, and Orix)

I think that's all of them... hopefully we don't lose any more!

But then we have EMs as recent as Obsidian who announced his first event via general chat 75 minutes prior to running it.

That isnt true at all. Obsidian's event was on the UO Calendar, the UO facebook + the Europa Facebook atleast a week+ beforehand.

2015, since EM dross was 8 months ago didnt think it was much of a stretch. and to be fair, dross last event was 3 months after barnaby's last event.

Dross left in July. Borbarad was in February.

One posted it to their event page (though no actual post about it) on Feb 13, yes.

Then one posted about it 7 minutes before the event. (1:53 my time = 7:53 their time, for an 8 pm event).

Another posted it 44 minutes *AFTER* the event started. (which would have been about the same time the event ended).

And it wasn't on the uo.com calender until that last was posted, either.

Maybe Facebook isn't the best place for posting EM event info?

The UO Facebook shared it MULTIPLE times:
