Fishmonger reset.....

Today I finally get a bit of time to fish from home... (normally its from work) and I decided to do some more fishmonger quest since I was getting 5 string 20 quest. The first one I did was a single string 10.. I thought it was a fluke so I did another. Same result! 15 quest later and I'm still pulling quest like I had just started from the beginning!

I did not loose my boat and have never quit one.

So my question to you and maybe Kyronix can answer this.... wth is going on? Did I get bugged? Has anyone else had this happen?

I would hate to think that I just wasted hundreds of hours fishing only to get wiped out by a bug!!

Please someone tell me that the rng gods are just being rude...

For now unless someone can answer why I just wasted my time my fishing days are done.....

So... given the lack of response after a few days no one else has had this happen and my fisherman is just doomed for retirement...

I was on when you experienced this, so I grabbed my fisherman and tested. My quests were current and normal. I have in the past had a ship decay with a few trade orders on board. I went backwards in quest quantity/quality but nothing like what you experienced. I am at a loss for what would push you all the back to a seemingly ZERO quests starting point. Any chance that character did a shard transfer at some point? I have no experience with transfers and I doubt that would reset your quests progress but I'm racking my brain trying to think what it could have been. I'd certainly like to avoid the issue in the future.

This happened to me after Halloween. I finished my quest, picked up my boat and just hunted pumpkins the entire event time. After I got back to doing quest (which is what I usually do) it was back to the beginning - quest for just one type of fish at a time. It took over a month to build it up to where I finally got a 105 scroll. I thought it was just from taking the Halloween break.

Funny thing is I decided to change boats after 1 day it reset... guess I should have kept the orc ship afloat!

I had mine seemingly reset for no reason, not long after reaching the skill level that gave me access to dungeon fish quests.

I'm guessing that there's some variable that triggers a reset, that the devs didn't even realize they were including.

Essentially, some element in the points calculation (point value of a quest or the like) results in a value that zeros out the cumulative total. Say, imagine if each quest is worth a positive point value of 10 or less, then you get a quest that's bugged to where when you redeem it, instead of positive points, you get -1024 (or worse, that number squared) because of a floating point error. The game is probably coded to turn a negative point total from rejecting quests to 0, but not to catch and prevent a negative value being applied from what should be a positive result.
