It's like a step forwards and backwards at the same time.
The overall feel and look are much more 'UOish'. Comfort and familiarity wise, this is a good thing.
The graphics, while 'classic', are lacking for '09 and a new client. Higher resolution and color depth could create a very attractive apperance. (Alot of work, so not really expecting anything here)
The tiling is still an issue. It breaks up the overall feel by introducing flaws.
Shadows and lighting are still wonky. Multi floor homes don't look or feel right due to this.
Atmosphere in dungeons, for the one I went into, felt very suitable and well done.
Overall the interface feels much more 'natural' than KR, or even 2d.
The radar and atlas feel much better than KR. (Let us use ICONS for our custom way points.)
If this were the client introduced instead of 3d, it would have been a very welcome updated client, but I'm still having troubles looking at it while realizing the current date.
