First Auction Safe Win But Can't Find it. (ATL)

I just won my first ever auction safe bid and I guess I accidentally threw away the scroll that appears when you make the highest bid. I just got a message yesterday saying that I won but, I have no idea where to find this auction safe. Is there anyway to recover it and find it? Should I page a GM? If I don't happen to find it before the 3 days is over, do I lose both the gold I bid on the item and the item itself? Very lost here...any help would be greatly appreciated.
