Finishing a Sampire

Ok, having read every post and reply on the forum about the Sampire i feel like i get the idea and everything you need to know about the template.

The armor however is a different story.

Has there been a list of items ideal for the Sampire build?
If so could somebody give me the simple rundown as to why those items might be better than others?
I've seen a lot of ideas and just basically want to know what people are using and why it works for them.
I'm open to all different play styles and armor builds so what jewelry your wearing and what template your running would be helpful too

I apologize beforehand if this has already been discussed and i missed it

Thank you for your time and help :D

The most dificult task in building a sampire is getting the fire resist up high enough so that being in vampire form doesn't kill your fire resist.
Of course having max hit and defense is also very important
I would suggest
Fey Leggings,
Spirit of the totem,
Primer on Arms,
Quiver of infinity and
crimson cincture for artifacts.
If you can get these items thru factions it would be even better since they don't require alot of faction kill points to use, and The resists and mods are better.
From there it is easiest to get the pieces you need imbued.
You should try to get your fire resist as close to 95 as you can. Stamina increase is a must, you should try to have it on every piece. Lower mana cost and mana increase will also be helpful. Mana regen is not really needed since as a sampire you'll get mana back faster from leeching. You should also try to get about 9 Hit point increase total on your remaining pieces to reach 25. 15 HCI and 15 DCI on each jewel along with damage increase and any skill bonuses you need to reach your caps. With leftover room Enhance potions and stat bonuses are nice
I hope this helps

Spirit of the Totem sucks for a Sampire. Mace & Shield glasses are the way to go.

theres a bazillion threads about gear :p

but!

im tempted to try get a suit that gives +90 skills from items, for 810 total, enabling connor's template WITH healing. ive seen a suit like it, and quite frankly, aslong as you have high stam and hp, with 45 dci, then if its possible (yay for imbuing) then it would be rude not to!

just thought id throw that one out there.

just make sure you have high stamina, 45+ dci, and your weapon has HML and HSL

I consider Vengful the top sampy on Atlantic. Although I also use mace and shields on my sampy, Vengful has certainly found a way to incorporate spirit of the totem.

I swear, sometimes I think mobs just lay down and die before Vengful gets to them, just to save everyone some time.

I agree 100%.....a sampire has to have hld...if u dont have it on ur glasses then ur stuck with having it on ur weapon....which eliminates the possibility of having an extra mod on that weapon

Exactly. There go all of your weps with HLA. They now have to have HLD so you don't get that extra +25 to your own defense chance.

Thanks everyone for your help
I'd be afraid to do the faction armor route though because that seems to cause a big ruckus when people do that now.
