Thank goodness now Blood Oath has been toned down. I mean aside from its 100% success rate despite your resist, it also was ludicrously overpowered (I cant hurt him but he can hurt me).

But that's the past. Now the resist weakens the potency, and, PRAISE JEEBUS, Paladins actually have an innate ability to counter it (Remove Curse). Much better. Thank you, devs.

Now let's move over to the Vengeful Spirit issue.

Without a dispel wep and Magery, you are out of luck dealing with these annoying dorkus malorki, who for some reason are tougher than most paragons in Ultima Online, regardless of the level of the caster, and they last for a HELL of a lot longer than the stats indicate.

My suggestions:

1 - Like with BO, give Paladins SOME ability to deal with them. Paladins are supposed to be the nemesis class of Necros -- isnt it silly they have absolutely no way of dealing with this?
2 - When the caster dies, the Revenant needs to vamoose.
3 - Again, since these buggers should be the antithesis of virtue, how about weakening them based on the karma of the person you cast them on?

Your suggestions make sense. Would love to see something like this added.

Hmmm
at 100 SS ... 16.6 seconds
at 110 SS ... 17.3 seconds
at 120 SS ... 18.o seconds duration ... ( here )

Hmmm
strength and weakness's ... (here)
ah! some quick way to "dispel" mayhaps?
for paly ... paly .... erm ... "soley" spell based ? well ... they are kinda a "curse" ...
remove curse ? holy light ? monster >Disperse< should create a "time-out" ... maybe
always a quick sacred journey into a guard zone .... least wise worked down at the glow rift ...

Alter the entire set of mechanics for the revenant's ?
PvM types ...
PvP types ...
Faction type scenarios ... ???

hmmmm
takes a casters control/follower slots ?
caster IS flagged ?

Above formulas, strength/weakness' are the same? for PC's and NPC's ???

meh!
undead slayer ... perhaps weighted for High elemental damage across Fire _ Poison _ Energy ...
increased Hit chance, Lower attack, Lower defense .... not really worth the "time cost" of Enemy of One ... but Divine fury + Consecrate wep + whatever specials available (wep based)
(there addressed the MOST OBVIOUS thing to use against them ... wep WITHOUT using dispel spell/wep)

better?

Firstly, if a rev can actually hurt your dexxer, then you suck.

Secondly, try a little CHIVALRY spell called dispel evil.

This thread is therefore useless because someone doesn't know all the chivalry spells.

Actually ...
http://uo.stratics.com/content/guides/paladinabilities.shtml

dispel is kinda mis-named ... for the paladins ...
READ the description ... THEN go and test its effects
THEN come and report ... whether there was a 100% success at Dispeling the rev's
or merely dispersing ...
(Dispel)

See? NOT "useless post" .... you've an opportunity to learn something ...

proceed

Firstly, its hard to kill and will always teleport on you, making it impossible to escape. So while it offers little danger to me it's still friggin annoying.

Secondly, yeah. I tried it. It does nothing. Got any more ideas, genius?

Desolation, apparently, you're used to only PvP uses of the spell.

If one is fighting a necro-casting monster, it can do some serious damage if you have Enemy of One up against another creature type. Sure, it only does 10-15 points if it hits through your DCI, parry, etc. normally, but if you're fighting something else with enemy of one, those attacks become 25 pointers even against maxed armor. Add in something spamming you with poisons and paras, not to mention pain spikes, and it's a lethal combination.

Secondly, you might want to read the description of Dispel Evil - it dispels NOTHING. All it does is RARELY make some of your attackers run away for a few seconds - and more often than not, they seem to get kicked into double-speed when they come back.

Nope, that still has yet to be addressed.
Yep, new unmentionables would be cool.

I'd also like to find a boot scraper. My tamers don't always watch their step in the stables and I've noticed they sometimes come home especially fragrant after a trip to the Minoc stable. I think the stable boy must be spending too much time ogling Singsong the Bard at The Barnacle next door....
