Ferret and stealing

Has anyone attempted to steal while in ferret form? Have you had any success or many failures? I guess I am looking ofr pros and cons for using the Ferreet form. I know you get a +10 stealing while in this form but I am wondering about anyother pros and cons.

pro: can save 10.0 skill points for another skill
when facing south you are an extremely small target, also good for hiding in large monster corpses

con: don't rely on animal form to make quick escapes unless u got some decent FC and FCR. Usually if I use ferret form I tend to stick around longer and hide behind players.
