ive been looking at the boards and they say that feint is good for doing solo sampire peerless and champ spawns but is it necessary? i mean i got swordsmanship cause i read that it was better in general but do people pick up fencing for peerless instead?

and if feint is in fact necessary, then are bokutos and daishos good enough compared to the leafblade fencing weapon

i mean

bokutos = faster and less damage (ive never read about anyone on these forums who use one of these) but are these actually good enough? or is the damage simply too low

daishos- same stats as leafblade but 2 handed? so no potions, do sampires even use potions?

and thats about all the options for feint as a swordsman.

and yes i did read this post http://vboards.stratics.com/showthread.php?t=144440&highlight=feint but it seems kinda inconclusive

Bokuto...NO!

Daisho...why not, if its the same specials as a leafblade[haven't checked so not sure]

On feint, its not imperitive...but it is nice, especially for mobs that can hit you for 50+. It cuts down there damage so you have more time to heal/mana leech.

Pots...well thats all dependant on the sampire...i have a few one handed weapons for the times i feel i want to pot [generally if im fighting something that will DP or mana leech alot] other times i use guardian axes and the like.

well a daisho is a 2 handed weapon unlike a leafblade other than that the damage, swing spead, etc are the same

but if the purpose of a sampire is to solo those hard hitting bosses. im pretty sure all of them hit pretty hard..wouldnt that mean swords actually arnt the best route to go unless u are doing something like darkfather in doom.

so wouldnt this make fencing superior to swordsmanship?

Nah

not really...Swords has some of the best weapons and the leafblade of ease is automatically UBWS.

Great swords weapons... Mages rune blade (comes automatically with 1FC)
Ornate axes (high damage...guardians comes with HPI and HPR)
Katana (i know sounds silly...fast high damage when using ar ignore)
and of course...Radient Scimmy!

There is also the double axe, broadsword and a few others i cant remember right now :)

Edit: remember you get Max DCI from using a 2-handed weapon.

If you don't want to use evasion, and if you have a lot of high-end runics to burn.

too fast IMO, broadsword is better for 1-handed AI
Bladed Staff is better is 1-handed isnt needed.

Not sure your line of logic. Swords is better because it generally has a higher damage output over time, and Heavier hits=more Life leech
