Feeblemind Stuck?

I have a character that has the feeblemind icon always on his effects gump. It doesn't list a value, only something like "-~1_amt~% to intelligence". I don't know if it's actually affecting me or not. I tried getting some feeblemind scrolls and recasting it, but they all either fizzled, or appeared to do nothing at all (no sound)...the character has 0 magery.

Is this a common occurrence?

You probably logged out when the spell was on you. To remove it fight some monsters that cast that spell again on you.The spellbinders in New Haven are fine for that.

Ones its been cast on you let it go away before you log out.

Yup, or have a guild mate cast it on you.

unfortunately... at least it's fairly easy to fix. either attack some of the undead in new haven and they will undoubtedly cast it on you (and then wait for it to time out), have a friend cast it on you, or buy up some magery points at the mage shop in new haven and cast it on yourself

In that case, shouldn't casting it off a scroll on myself have fixed it? I thought a first circle spell was castable 100% of the time with a scroll.... I'll head out and find something to throw some spells my way, though.

Spectral Spellbinders might be your first stop ... New Haven. If one casts on you and it's not what you want, wait and see if they recast something else. Otherwise, kill it and head for another one. Rinse and repeat.

I have had to do that countless times for a stuck curse or weaken.

Your character probably have also magicresist skill. That means that only high magery and eval int caster can cast on you, otherwise you will resist that low level spell.

Finally made it to New Haven and worked the spectral spellcasters. Got the feeblemind off, get back to my house, and now I've got a clumsy stuck at zero seconds--I did NOT log out yet. Is the character destined to always have this?
