If you do the Neville escort quest (en-route to the fountain in the upper right corner area) and get the Goblin Slayer Talisman, then use that with a Repond slayer weapon, the goblins in the upper left area are a pretty easy campable creature for the coins (slow drop rate, but you'll make that up in other loot).

I had a character like that as well. Was in there for a good 3 weeks atleast after the "fix". I would get the message about being teleported, but I wouldn't go anywhere. I logged in not too long ago and I finally was teleported out into the corner of a black starfield area.Maybe they are still exploiting the puzzle box? I have a character that is somehow still able to log in and out of that room without being teleported out.
As for what monsters to farm and where I have no idea! Sorry!

another question:
this one day per coin is a pain. I have 24 coins right now. I notice when I turn in two coins I got an item and resistance or something.
how many can i turn in at one time?

1 per 24 hour period.
My bro and I take our champ spawn necro mages, and stand on top of eachother casting withers. 10 coins, 20 minutes, wolf spiders. The drop rate is either really good or really bad for us, but 10 in 20 minutes is our best yet. Then we only got 2 in the next 40.

are you sure? Because i got an enhanced essence and it changed my resistance with two coins stacked on the turn in. It took both coins.

tried to do 5 coins in a stack it only took two.
so it is actually 2 per 24 hours

I don't think anyone is illegally farming those. I can't get quite a few each time I go to the goblin spawn there. IT's easy to get.
