Today is the first time since they fired up the Catskills shard that I haven’t had an active UO account. I always thought that I’d be logged in when they pulled the plug on UO, but my 6 month subscription came up today and I let it expire.

Why? Too many things broken for too long… Too long with no real direction for the game… I’ve been playing another game for the last month and now that my free trial is up it’s really a pretty easy choice.

Before anyone asks… no you can’t have my stuff!!! (I stored everything of real value up on my chars before I logged them out. I plan to check back in on UO about 90 days from now and see if EAMythic has come up with anything that makes me want to keep my house from dropping.)

My sincere thanks to the many players and developers of UO. I’ve had a really great time over the last 10 years.

I was one of those that said I would be here til they pulled the plug too.
I havent played since May 2006 and finally gave away my house and cancelled my account last month.

UO is severely broken and asking EA for anything is like whispering in the wind... you rarely get heard

He stated that he would check back in 90 days to see if anything has changed. Personally, I don't view that as '********', as you so eloquently put it, in the least. He has the right to voice his opinion, be it good or bad, just as much as anyone else, and frankly, I think EA needs to see that a whole hell of a lot of people are finally fed up with the way things are going. That is not an opinion, that is a fact, given the number of people that have left recently.

No, Siege has some old features but is in no way retro.

You could say it is a slightly 'enhanced' code of the normal shards

Sad to see another player slip away from UO. I sometimes think my daughter had the right idea when she turn her account over to us, when she left for school. To walk away and not look back, that took alot from her to do that. Good luck with your real life out there. May you receive all you wish for.

Another has departed, Sad to see so many of the Old die hards going (8yrs here myself). But what has EA done to keep us here.....? Answer____________ ! Thats correct nothing. Good luck &amp; Safe travels, &amp; hopefully EA WILL SEE what they are doing (should say, NOT Doing) &amp; correct it. But, that is like wishing Madonna would just show up &amp; play at your Birthday Party. Just ain't gonna happen

Oh wow, I had always wondered who played him.

Particularly because I stole his Whispering Rose, the whole Valentine's Day bag actually. That was a great event, story and all.

Thanks alot for your time with that event. My friends and I appreciated the event very much and moreso over the years.
