I have yet to see a Smuggler's Lantern with Faster Cast on it! It doesn't say anything about you have a chance at getting a lantern with Faster Cast... I think if your going to advertise something, then put up or shut up! Thinking seriously about demanding my money back, that is false advertisement!!!!!

Like I said, and the other guy said, Anything Spell Channeling automatically gets FC-1, so if it has FC, it'll just be SC with no -1, which it is.

I´m with Jove on this one. It is poorly worded.

Would be better if it said "Spell channeling, no penalty" or just "Spell channeling".

Putting the "Faster Casting 1" in there with the rest WILL fool some people cuz not everyone playing this game knows that if an item has SC it also has -FC1.

They will just think it is like the Arcane shield with SC and FC1, discover it´s not and be disappointed...

No, because, under the same thing, it doesn't list -1. So if it's assumed, then -1, if it's not assumed, then it has No negative, which makes it assumed to have +1, but if it said + 1 it's assumed to have +2 because people can't look up a property table on stratics and think it's +1. But if it said +2 the world would explode because i'm tired of turning this into a never ending post.

2nd.....As in you're buying this crap from Mythic, P.T. Barnum said it best, "there's a sucker born every minute"...per him charging to see a big surprise, which was actually a doorway out the backside of the circus.

3rd......your dissatisfaction is the end result of betraying us who refuse to cave in EA/Mythic charging us for these items. Regardless if it costs chicken feed, some of us still believe in principle.

Look, the UOHerald and UO Gamecodes store pages with information about the new items were just really badly translated copies of the Japanese store page. It looked vaguely like it made sense in English so nobody bothered to change the words. If you feel so strongly about it then learn Japanese, go to their store and read the description as its meant to be read.

Maybe EA/Mythic can do a better job next time in writing out the description. I don't think it was a deliberate attempt to mislead, however the descriptions are very poorly worded. They could not even provide a screen shot of the item properties. Maybe it was a rushed job because the Asian website sold them first and there was a great deal of griping about it here. I still don't even really know what I'm doing with the Smuggler's Edge....

So, no....The advertising is in no way false. It isn't even as misleading as ads for real life goods are.

Though, personally, I wouldn't have written the blurb this way, because it just makes you look bad. "But you said this had Faster Casting." "Does it slow you down?" "No, but...." "Well, there you go."

Quite a while ago, monitors would come with a sticker that said "low radiation". That was in response to the myth that kids will get cancer if they sit too close to the TV.

They probably sold a few more monitors because of that sticker. Even though there were no "high radiation" monitors.
