Factions as intended??

Did the devs really intend to have factions the way they are right now?


What do you think could help? I think factions would be really really fun if there was a real incentive to owning a town, and im not talking just vendor prices. I'm talking something awesome, like build a wall around your city that is fully destoryable and force people to try to get access to it for some purpose, cannons, etc etc..... You can't tell me you wouldn't find joy shooting off a cannon and your local speedhacker accidentally skipping in front of it!

Incentives to own a town were there from day one. You could own a special color horse. You could craft blessed faction armor and weapons. You could have resource vendors and guards to kill your enemies. Unfortunately, every bonus has been stripped away.

War Horses - With bonding they never die.
Faction Craftables - Insurance replaced blessing. Plus changes with AOS made faction crafting futile.
Vendors - Basic resources are cheap and plentiful in the game these days. Also 100% Lower Reagent Cost nullified the need for reagents greatly.
Guards - Were never updated with proper resistances after AOS, so they are insanely easy to kill. Their AI has also never been worked on, making them pretty useless. Oh, and they also disabled the ability to turret them. So killing 40 of them solo is no big hassle.

Incentives should have been implemented to replace the once being removed.
