Faction traps at champ spawns

Since most faction fights are held around champion spawns (or let's rephrase it: since most champ guilds are in faction for the stuff), it should make sense that one should be able to place a limited amount of faction traps per faction, per champ area.

Traps and Faction traps are two Totally different items

:stir:And no way should ANYONE be able to place a trap ANYWHERE around a champ spawn.

:whip:Sorry but this is a terrible idea, if oyu are getting overrun get your faction together and work the spawn as a team:thumbup1:

actually speaking as a fella who has a trap remover on every shard, i would LOVE to see everyone place traps everywhere!

cause i get 100 silver for every trap i pull!!!

Actuallly I like the idea, would allow a bit of strategy for the champ spawns.

And to the guys above saying about "faction traps" at the champ spawns already, those aren't faction traps, those are dungeon floor traps, faction traps hit about 10x harder and are placed manually by players.

Wow this wouldn't be abused.

Place faction traps and then do the spawn on non faction characters. That way when faction people roll in they get hit with the traps and go in stat if they die, while the "blues" have no negitive impact.

why would you swap to non-faction characters while doing the spawn, that seems silly limiting the gear you can wear and opening yourself up to murder counts, the traps alone are VERY unlikely to kill anyone, you still have to fight, you just strategicly place to help defend/trap (attackers could obviously place them too, stealth in and trap the upper bridge in despise, say, before raiding from the bottom to chase the unsuspecting group up)

Let them "abuse" it switching to their blues so they get stomped and chased off.

Horrible idea. Fights are already often lame with grinder fights/stone form/protection/zerg/cleansing wind spam.

Adding faction traps to champ areas would just make grinders even more prevalent.

maybe they should make it so you have to be in factions to do champs??
that way pvp gets its fun and blues have to join factions to do a champ.. :)

i always wondered why it wasnt this way in the beginning. you get the blue protectors and they cant be killed unless you want 1000 murder counts and most of the time nobody plays on faction chars to do pvp anyway..

It wouldn't be chokier at all if you are not in a faction. But if you want to play in a faction you should accept the consequences. Let's face it, since EA introduced the faction uberartifacts and the rezzing of faction warhorses, most raiding champ guilds joined faction, but just for that stuff.

It perverts factions as they don't fight for their faction and even attack their faction mates and it perverts the champion spawns as they have advantages in case of dismounts and advantages in building better suits.

The drawback of being in faction is the skill loss upon death (from another factionner, a faction oriented monster, or a faction trap). Since most faction fights are now held at champ spawns instead of cities or faction strongholds and since there are already faction oriented monsters at some spawns (demons, Silver serpents, wisps, ogre lords), it make sense that they should take care of traps too.
