Hilarious, thanks for proving my point. A simple question on here was taken as a personal attack over peoples templates. And also I'd like to add that no one else is even in factions on catskills, so you joining is solely for the use of those potions, PERIOD.

You couldn't be more wrong.

The OP specifically mentions potions which are a consumable. How can you possibly try to say that factions cannot exist without specific faction only potions? Are you kidding me? What functions of factions will not work if you don't have supernovas?

Here's the bottom line:
90% of the faction pvpers on every shard are longtime members of that shard and extremely well off with resources and character skills/soulstones.
They can make and play any template they choose. They most certainly do not need faction gear to play factions to its fullest potential.
They only use it to save the time of building multiple suits. The gear is a crutch and a joke period

The gear is far from a crutch..it's more like a useless grind..I can reforge better pieces minus a few, and am not active enough to spend hours farming silver just to pvp for maybe a week or 2 deal with RL..then rinse and repeat. The 4 week timer killed off faction Artie's being useful IMO..instead of thinking about the real issue at hand
A. Trammel Players are mad they can't use super uber items without being at risk of dying
B. Faction players complaining, people are joining to go farm "whatever flavor of the month trammel dungeon"
C. Non-Factions players complaining..why don't we get super awesome items without the risk of not being able to stand in guard zone and go stat
D. Your everyday forum troll just complaining just to complain, because their friend in vent dislikes it.

They turned around put some stupid 4 week timer on items with a ridiculous silver price on items if you aren't Max Rank, and nobody bought into their ****ty system. That mind you they were told countless times prior to implementing it how ****ty it was, and published it anyways. You were left with 80% of folks leaving factions, or people having bugged Artie's that never lost the timer or just didn't have one..which mind you was an issue with players paging and GM's who were not informed, and in effect we're bugging them out...to blues stating OJ's way after the fact..so mostly everyone in the 20% left. And now you have people walking around, not able to find another OJ to fight so unless they have multiple accounts and cheat there is little to no way to raise rank, which means no way to get a Orny under 50k silver..which mind you takes hours and hours and hours to farm. And then those people left..so NOW phew finally we are left with a small amount of faction players who sit there and call everyone ***** and or explain how bad they suck because they don't play factions..which is why at this point they are discussing replacing factions with yet again ANOTHER terrible system with this Virtue vs Vice crap..which is guaranteed to have some "over powered" artifacts to rinse and repeat this same stupid conversation.....

If it's PvP related, then it always happens like this...
That said, there are still pleasant interactions to be found here, not everyone is a jerk
