Experiencing Bonding Issues with the Greater Dragon?

G

I've tamed two greater Dragons that we're fed multiple times immedietly after being tamed. It has now been over 10 days and no bonding has occurred with either Dragon.

Has anyone else experienced something similiar?

Thus far I've only seen one player on my shard with a bonded Dragon. Is the time delay longer than 7 days for these beasts.

If someone knows something I don't please enlighten me, Any information or light that can be shed would be appreciated as I'm very eager to take out my new found friend for walk.

I haven't heard anything. Everyone I know bonded theirs on schedule. I've bonded two right on time. (she is a real 120 taming though)

I know there is an issue regarding all pets where they sometimes take more time to bond. (I've actually seen this happen with a blue beetle. Same taming requirement as horse. And a horse I bought for one of my chars)

I've done exactly that on two seperate accounts with two Dragons. Which leads me to the conclusion that I'm not doing something 'right'. They've been fed and the 7 days period has long expired so at this point all I can do is continue to feed them and wait.

I just wanted to see if someone else has had a similiar issue which doesn't seem to be the case.

There is must be something on my end I'm not doing. However I followed the protocol and I've had numerous pets and have not experienced anything like this before.

The only variable I can think of is I 'embraced honor' while taming both beasts. I'm not sure if there is something in the code that would affect the bonding via using honor. Perhaps the pet is not 'linked' to me because of this...

I do appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Mine hasn't bonded either, it should have bonded yesterday but even this morning no bond. 117.9 taming, 120 lore so I know it's not that, and I feed my pets often so they're always wonderfully happy.

try this feed your pet 1 time then name it the time you fed it say fridaysixpm then put it in stable and do not pull it out till after that day and time make sure you have whatever jewels you had on when you got it then feed it it will bond then this trick has always worked for me do not pull it out everyday and feed it there used to be a issue with the timer reseting when you would feed it again if this dont work I would say 4 sure there is a coding issue just my thoughts

oh and make sure when u put the pet in the stable make sure he is wonderfully happy and keep in mind if there is a server reset this could effect it also I would add 15 min atleast on to the time to account for server saves otherwise you could reset the timer with only minutes left on your seven days hope this helps

Mine bonded today at noonish, at least a day late (I'm almost positive I got him Saturday). My pets usually bond right on schedule so I'm thinking maybe there was a napa server hiccup or something.

There are definitely bonding issues going on at the moment. I don't know if its specific characters that get bugged or what. I have a tamer on one shard that's a week overdue on bonding a mare and ten days overdue on a uni. No I am NOT a " jewellry " tamer, its all real skill - 110 + plus on lore and taming - and yes I am feeding them when I take them out of the stables. Nada. btw naming makes no difference whatsoever on the bonding process, or it never has up to now anyway.

LoL,thats exactly what I do.I name them the day I tamed and stabled them.So I know what day to expect to bond them.Sometimes I wait for the following day just for good measure.Rarely does it work though.

My white wyrm FINALLY bonded yesterday,so now all I have left is a 9 day old ice serpent named Sunday morning,2 days late aaaand counting.

I was not trying to say naming them makes a difference I was saying naming them the day and time you fed them so its easy to remember there time to bond lol although anymore who knows whats making the bonding take longer

Storm thanks for the offer but I'm on Sonoma. Lucky for me my Dragon Bonded yesterday... 3-4 days late and not without some fancy footwork... literally.

Here is what I think happened in my case and I cannot verify unless someone else has can test it out as well.

I know it sounds crazy but what prevented me from bonding with the Greater Dragon was me wearing The Pads of the Cu Sidhe. I removed the pads and fed my pet and BAM "Your Pet has now Bonded".

If anyone is having bonding issues and your wearing Pads of the Cu Sidhe try and remove them and feed your pet and see if that doesn't fix it. If it does please come back and post that it did indeed work.

Now I tried the same thing on my other account where I was having the same trouble. That tamer was transferred the Dragon and has a real of 91.1 and Lore of 105. Removing the Pads of Cu Sidhe did not work for on that account with that character but I still think that was the cause of the non-bonding.

Anyone know for a fact the minimun requirements REAL for taming/bonding with a greater Dragon?

I did have pads of the Cu on. O joy , I thought, problem solved. Removed them, went to stables, fed unbonded pets - NADA.

Sigh.

I have 100 taming and 105 lore real skill, I use skill+ items to bring me up to 120 taming and 110 lore, and my dragon bonded right on schedule, almost to the minute. I know though that others have had problems both with dragons and other pets, both recently and as far as I can tell, just about ever since pet bonding was introduced.

I doubt you are doing anything wrong, I think you are just having bad luck and have probably run into an intermittent bug. The best you can do is go into the KR client, try it again, and if it doesn't work, send in a bug report. Then go into whatever client you are comfortable with and page a gm. A gm may not appear, or may not be able to help you, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Beyond that, all you can do is keep feeding it...
