Evil Omen Icon is bugged

I know lots have had problems with it not going away when it's supposed to.
Do we just have a GM come fix this?
Just another FAIL?

btw, I won't be eating an apple or casting this on myself -trouble ticket sounds better

just cast evil omen on yourself and then a small spell or have someone else cast it on you and then a small spell - fixes it

Can you not just close the client out completely to make it go away?
It's not really there it's just showing on your buff bar right?

Thanks Flutter. Tried closing out the client, Completely - didn't work,the icon stays.
a GM page didn't work, guess I'll do it 'officially' on-line and see what BS reply I get. A person on (Atlantic?) had this for over 5 weeks.

Far as I know, just the icon stays, the actual effect is not there - I am a BIG trapped box user, normally I just use that - but that doesn't always work.

Somehow in the abandoned city, on the N side of the SW house in Ter Mur where there's a small ledge running along that side - I ran up there somehow but couldn't run back off. Of course got necro/magery spammed by the terror and eventually died. The body/corpse fell off the ledge and when I went back, I could not find a way back onto the ledge - there was a betbellum up there, it couldn't find a way off either) - So dieing won't do it either

I sure will be glad when I've sold all my stuff, and gold, and I'm out of here. The people I love, but...

I think because the game is huge and the programmers that work on it are not enough. Btw, does anyone know how big is the team that works on UO these days?

JOAT isn't enough to cast the spell & didn't find any vendors selling that scroll. Fortunately I had 2 +15 jewelery And a spell book; Cast, hit trapped box, done, over. Which means it Is indeed broken, as it Has been. Try explaining why you have to do a 'workaround' to any New players you see.

JOAT isn't enough to cast the spell & didn't find any vendors selling that scroll. Fortunately I had 2 +15 jewelery And a spell book; Cast, hit trapped box, done, over. Which means it Is indeed broken, as it Has been. Try explaining why you have to do a 'workaround' to any New players you see.

Why are you freaking out about the icon being there? lol Its not in effect (as you already know), and just in the course of playing the game you will eventually be evil omened again where it will just come off.


I swear people freak out over the littlest thing.

yeah, I like it to work correctly - guess that's too much to ask, in my orig post you'll notice that someone had this for 5 weeks? didn't 'just come off' for them.
So, are you saying it's working as Intended? either it is, or it's broken, right?

Omg you mean a 15 year old game has bugs?

Id rather it be a bug where is 100% cosmetic than gamebreaking. The only way someone had it stuck for 5 weeks is if they never took that char to pvm or pvp in that whole time span.

It might not look a great issue and certainly it is not disruptive for gameplay but, you know, sometimes you notice by little things if one cares or not about what he's doing.

I don't care about the icon myself but it makes you feel like noone cares and that's not precisely great.

Indeed it is working for everyone who PvPs. Little cosmetic bugs such as icons doesn't make it broken, just a bugged icon. Broken is the spell not functioning the way it's meant to.
