7/30/2019 – Meeting at the Blue Boar Tavern one evening, the rangers happened to encounter the famous bard Iolo, who had recently arrived in Britain after having become quite intrigued by the rise of an organization known as “The Fellowship”. Even more curious was the construction of a large and extravagant cathedral over the Chamber of Virtue which many were surprised to learn was actually a cathedral for the Fellowship itself. Wishing to learn more, Iolo and the rangers visited the massive structure and encountered Feridwyn, someone they had run into before, who was now a member of the Fellowship and undergoing training to become a branch leader, with the hopes of opening a branch in New Magincia. Feridwyn spoke at length about the values of the Fellowship, the Triad of Inner Strength, while explaining how these values helped him through difficult times and the loss of his family. He apparently been recruited by two Fellowship leaders named Elizabeth and Abraham. The rangers were quite curious as to why the first floor of the cathedral, which contained the old Chamber of Virtues, was sealed. Feridwyn explained he didn’t know much about it except that the first floor was undergoing construction and renovations, but he suggested that if they wished to learn more, they should speak to Elizabeth and Abraham who had recently left the cathedral before the rangers arrived in order to provide assistance at a local Fellowship shelter.

Following Feridwyn’s directions, the rangers found that the Fellowship shelter was housed in what used to be the Lazar House. Inside, they encountered Mayor Patterson, who himself was also a Fellowship member and volunteering his assistance there. He explained that many of the people that were in the shelter were there because they were addicted to dream venom, which the Fellowship wished to provide assistance for as their leader, Batlin, advocated skepticism of the healer trade. When asked about Elizabeth and Abraham, Patterson said that the rangers had just missed them, as they had left a moment prior to assist their leader Batlin with a speech he was set to give in near the Main Gate on Virtue’s Path in a few minutes.

Arriving at the location described by Patterson, Iolo and the rangers found a crowd that had gathered, and two Fellowship guards standing by. A minute later Batlin himself appeared, standing atop a small podium and issuing a speech about the Triad of Inner Strength and the cultural shift that Britannia was undergoing. After the speech, the rangers spoke with the Fellowship leader who said that the elusive siblings had departed from Britain on Fellowship business only moments prior to the rangers’ arrival, but offered to answer any questions they had, as he himself was one of the three leaders of the Fellowship. Batlin patiently answered the rangers’ many questions, indicating that Mayor Patterson had given them permission to construct the cathedral, and that the Chamber of Virtues would be reopened and accessible as soon as the work was done.
