Event Times

Just wondering, it seems that most events are held in the evenings. (i know there have been some late night ones too)

Why arent there any daytime events, many people have night jobs, or are busy with family / friends in the evening (especially weekends). I just feel like a good portion of UO players (including myself) cant attend many many events because the times are mostly evenings. Even mornings on weekends would be nice.

More daytime or after 10pm events please !

I was thinking about this very thing earlier today.

EM Bennu and I both have jobs aside from being EMs, so we have to work our event schedules around our own RL schedules, which, unfortunately for morning/afternoon players, means that events usually take place in the evenings.

But, I do plan on trying out a few events at earlier times (~9 am) and later times (~11 pm), and see how that rolls.

Thanks, that helps alot. I check the Atlantic event page pretty often, but rarely can attend. I think alot of people are in the same boat. I did think the times were probably because of rl jobs. Of course i understand that. I dunno if weekend daytime would be possible, although (haha) i know alot of UO players are probably old and dont do anything Friday and Saturday evenings.

I seriously don't think evening events are unattended by a good portion of players, usually over 50 to 100 players at them. that is a major portion of Atl shard, over 100 at last event that started at 7:30pm EST. So I am sure a good portion of people would agree that seems best time frame to suit the masses. Just my opinion!

I know alot of people attend the evening events, but thats just one portion of players (albeit a large one) Alot of those players are probably also on later at night, and possibly during the day (UO addicts )

Im sure theres many who cant attend evening events (or maybe do but shouldnt haha) because of family / social schedules) Also i think if there werent the 50-100 characters at the early evening events it would be a Good thing, would cut down on the lag for one, and you might even be able to see your character haha.

There was an event Saturday at 3:00, so looks like our EMs are working on this. Especially on a weekend when alot of people arent on in the evening i think it was the perfect time.

Yep, early weekend events would be perfect for lots. I personally cant make a lot of those (missed yesterdays) due to Saturdays and Sundays being really the only time the whole family is home at same time. Daytime events during week would be good for all the UO addicts and people who work nights also, I was just pointing out that the majority of ATL is on in evenings, but with that the daytime events would be as you stated a lot less laggy and be able to actually see whats goin on. So with that said I guess ima be using my sick days and passes on days those said events take placerolleyes:
