Been doing a bit of investigating in this new UO and have discovered some things changed (or not - maybe I just never noticed before).

There are a lot of escorts who want to go to Occlo - is there now an Occlo in Tram or is New Haven "Occlo" (couldn't get that to work though)? Or would taking them to Occlo in Fel work? (Just occured to me).

Also it took me 5 mins to work out that Magincia was levelled why is it these peasants, brides, grooms, and even the mages (supposedly intelligent characters) don't know that it's not worth going there? (Is there somewhere they will agree IS Maginicia? Is there a "New" Magincia?)

What happened to all the escorts who wanted to go to a dungeon?

Occlo is or was the Fel version of Haven .. I took a Npc there once about 2 years ago and where it gated me to was a unguarded zone and was pronptly PvPered .. not nice ..

Yes, one of the things in UO that is different in Tram/Fel other than the rule set, saying Occ is fel version of Haven is misleading, the only thing that is similar now about Occ and New Haven is their location in the world. Old Haven however was almost the same as Occ town wise, it was just Occ with a bit extra (it just had extra buildings here and there and the newbie stuff, oh and the lower Haven island).

New Haven and Occlo are nothing alike, in fact Occlo will remind you much more of Old Haven than New Haven will.


...I'm very surprised you found PvP in Occlo tho, even 2 years ago. Its probably UO's most forgotten town, due to no moongate, being somewhat remote, has no housing (as far as I know, although housing is possible there) only existing in one facet, and just no real point in going there.

Occlo only exists in Fel. There is no Tram Occlo, just like there is no Fel Haven, taking an Occlo escort to Haven and visa versa won't work because your not only in the wrong town, but the wrong facet also.

Yes there is a New Magincia in the Ultima storyline, coming soon to UO for those shards who saved the city...

Yes it was a shame when they axed Occlo for Haven. In the "Old" days when there was no Oceania Occlo was a thriving town on most shards. I don't recall there being any housing on it though.

Ocllo Felucca works for the escorts.

As for seekers of adventure, I haven't seen those in a while. There are still prisoners wanting to get out of dungeons, however. Orc cave is the best for these, there's a little cell there with a fast spawn of prisoners (gate one out, another almost instantly appears to replace it). No escort waiting period on prisoners, so doing Compassion takes about a minute.

When Oceania finally came into existance, Im sure TDK ended up having a guild house right outside the town boundary on Occlo.

I remember before Tram, Haven still existed, its was the newbie place that you could only stay in as a 'young' player, from memory (I was only in there once when I created Que Xux my first char, so I could have a bad memory). I remember following some sort of path that was like a newbie quest to teach you how to move your char etc, I think I have that right, maybe someone else who remembers better can confirm, its... been awhile :O

Yeh I remember a few years back I went and scouted that whole island to find the biggest plot I could, think the biggest was like 8x9 or something (tiny) like that, nice quiet spot to have a house with a town/gz/island etc but it would have to be a small one.

Yeah That's pretty right Sneaky although I don't know if it was pre-Tram. I'll need to go check it out. It's a bit sad really, I've been playing this game for 9 years. *shakes head*

I know the feeling :( 8 years on and off. had a 3 yr subatical tho for Year 11 and 12 and the year after while i tried WoW(wish i didnt)

I started 8 years ago.. that young-quest-on-a-rail was in place, it was post-Tram as I remember it.. don't know how long it was there before I did it though.. think it was fairly newish..
