was looking though the hunters guide(SA part), when i noticed the enraged earth ele's. thought i had been all over the underworld, but have never seen one. Says they are to be found in the underworld,So i'm thinkin i may have missed a spot. anyone know exactly where in the underworld they're at?
The enraged earth elementals were one of the Underworld monsters that existed during the beta, but were pulled out before the expansion went live. They were located in approximately the center of the Underworld, northwest of the entrance to the Abyss, in the room where you have to walk down steps and then make your way past the tangling roots and up another set of stairs.
An annoying life-sucking pest that materialized in odd places in the Underworld and just kind of drifted along, passing through walls and such, and that revealed hidden characters, had no life bar and could only be killed with area effect spells, also didn't make it into the expansion. Since it had no real name that you could see and no way to lore it, I don't think this particular monster has any information in the Hunter's Guide.
Edited to add the following screen shot of the Enraged Earth Eles taken on 8/19/2009 during the open beta. This was not a nice room. LOL If I remember correctly, my character had died to falling boulders after venturing into the hall of death before the warning message was added. I had her wandering around trying to find her way out. I did check out the earth ele/tangling roots room later though while still alive and it was not a very nice place. I don't remember exactly what was not working correctly with the earth eles, but something about them was off.
