Enhancing dragon scale armour

I just came across a few bane corpses on my way to a bank (in a bane invaded town). I got curious and and had a peek into those corpses only to find some left plain dragon scale armour parts (base resists 3/3/3/3/3) and I wondered, fi those could get enhanced.
The short answer is: Yes, they can (with dragon scales of diffenrent colours ofc).
My question to this topic is, if it is worth to enhance them. I am not a specialist for such items, but i know, that some sampires want items with possibly highest fire resist. If you imbue fire resist onto those dragon scale armour parts first and enhance afterwards, you should be able to get highest possible fire resist on single pieces. (Not shure, if you can get higher with another way ... thats why i am asking for here.) Max would be 3 base resist + 15 imbued + 10 enhanced. Would it be worth to go through this process? (Even/maybe considering that you can do a full 450% imbue and maybe use a 100% success enhance from ea store after.)

You haven't been able to enhance Dragon scale in almost 10 years. Even then, it was enhancing with metal types (As the armor used to require scales AND ingots), but it only uses scales now.

If you are able to enhance the generic invasion dragonscale armor with colored scales, then this is an entirely new thing under the sun, that no one bothered to check for (as it has been so long since anything could really be done with dragon scales other than crafting with runics, or imbuing).

I'm gonna have to go check this out.....

Ya I already verified when this post went up. The invasion armor enhances, but not with red since it appears it is already red.

You still think the devs shouldn't post all the changes and should arbitrarily change crafting. I still disagree with that premise.

I'm more worried about things that some griefer might see and claim as an exploit to try to get people banned with.

There's a lot of petty people out there.

Crafting surprises can be nice, but once people start seeing them and asking about them, sometimes a little clarification would be nice from official channels.

After all, look at the mess that occurred with fishing quests, since there was a bug that was apparent once the information was stated (and shown to be not what was actually occurring), that earlier dev vaguaries and lots of errant conjecture helped obscure.

You just like the looks of it, or did you actually find any practical usefullness to wearing it ?

Enhancing dragon scale armour doenst look like it is intended. In the first place, I ve only tried once with blue scales, course those are the ones, I have most. In another attempt, red scales were not accepted while yellow ones are. So blue and yellow works, while red scales doesnt. I havent tested the other ones.
Sometimes this game behaves really silly .... (Not to mention that maxxed fire resists with red scales would probably be the most interesting choice of enhancing.)

I decided to look into this, because I thought a suit of it would be cool.

You can enhance each type of scale EXCEPT red.

Once I established that, I sat down and looked at the possible resist. Since you start at a base 3 on everything, you can enhance it to 18. Which means that the resist (except fire) you can top out at 28, which is a nice number, to be sure, but in the overall scheme of things, not sure it's worth the effort.

Looking at a full suit, your resist are going to be 15/15/15/15/15.

Now, if you imbue 2 resist on each piece, then enhance it, you'll be looking at something like:
Head 28/18/3/3/0
Arms 0/18/28/3/3
Chest 3/15/3/28/3
Legs 18/3/3/0/28
Gloves 3/3/3/15/28

Since there is no Dragon Armor neck, that leaves the neck slot open, which could make things interesting. If you put on a Glad Collar, your resist become:
70/75/57/67/78

But, that is using a Glad Collar. Before the Collar, those resist are 52/57/40/49/62. You could go the direction of using a shield, for a parry paldin or something without bushido.

Also, this is enhancing after the imbue. I am sure with the 'extras' (resist robes, boots, earrings) you can map out something that would be pretty good, but---- just not sure it's worth the effort or cost.
