Enhanced Client

I just downloaded the enhanced client, and at first I didn't like it. I did a bit of tweaking, and I'm starting to like it. Aside from the graphical glitches, i.e blinking and disappearing objects, forges, fountain of life, and pet balls, I may stick with it. I did notice that if you click on the blinking objects then they would return to normal for a short period.

I like the Hot keys, and the map. I haven't checked out any of the custom UIs, but I first want to learn how to set up the macros in EC. I hope they continue to develop EC, but who knows with all the layoffs at EA, and Mythic? :

I hate to say the sky is falling but in the past when there have been issues with staffing the client du jour has been the first thing to be dropped. I really hope they don't abandon yet another promising client.

That wouldn't be good. Despite the problems I think the EC has potential. I really like it, and hope they stick with it. Please EA & Mythic keep the EC!!! I guess I better go back to the Classic Client before I get to used the EC...

I just hope they fix where the tiles in the land turn to black and you cant run past them.

Besides that, I would make the full switch.

Still have to pvp in 2d.

Yes, the ground tiles turing black is annoying, but it has only happened a few times to me. Of course I only started using the EC this afternoon....

I also noticed that on one character the stuff in my house that blinks on and off, doesn't do that on another character? It's really weird...

Other than that, I like the EC.

That map issue has only just happened to me in the last day or so where I was collecting essences for the big quest. I would assume loading different maps or areas over & over probably had something to do with it, plus I was playing for many hours uninterrupted by time-outs.

Wow. The EC has really "enhanced" my game play. Despite the graphical glitches, I think I will probably be using the EC 99% of the time. I'm learning how to set up all the macros correctly, and when I finally get them to my liking I will start exploring all the skins and mods.

Hehe... everytime I log on to UO and use the EC I get giddy. I look forward to the next patch. I hope it stops all the darn blinking objects, and the black areas, ( which apparantly is supposed to do... )

Ya, I'm hoping that problem with the map not loading has been fixed. That was a real bugger.
