(Question) EMs role...,

No disrespect intended, just a curiousity, I really do not know EMs duties. I know EM Aurora does something with the garden and community plants for deco. But I was looking around AT. and Luna area , around gate. Theres is kinda cool christmas deco going on . How come we are bare of cool looking stuff in Luna for community???

EM Aurora handed me all her cool items for decorations... She asked me to handle the decoration this year, so I trashed them for points for more Clean-up dyes...

I do not know about other shards, but my understanding was that it was Mesanna who originally decorated the area around the Luna gate on Siege. Also, my understanding was that the primary goal of EMs is to run events, as that is what the EM stands for - Event Moderator. I think that they can do some things, but might be limited in how far they can go and how much they can do/create (the community garden was already there, for example). But if I am mistaken, someone please correct me. (And I suspect this has "evolved" over time - they might have been able to do more in the past than now.)

Oh - and I do believe that the EMs are not allowed to post directly on our forums - which is why they have their own special forums. (Which is also why I will try to always copy their posts over onto this board for those who don't think to check the EM forum.)

Thank you Adrianas for the info. Not sure about all shards, I was only speaking to Atl. And I say kinda cool deco there is several npc carolers out front (should have been dressed in lil santa gear, lol imo). A drunk at the harpiscore. And plain sleigh and a couple reindeer. I loved the flame on thier gate. So not grandiose or anything but still you get the feel/look of christmas.

EM info was helpful thank you. That help me understanding thier role a bit more.

Em Aurora did not give me such a responsibility and if it was a task handed to me, I would like to think that the fine folks of our Siege Perilous community would think higher of me and trust that I would indeed put up a good show for our community...

I am quite generous when it comes to rares of Siege Perilous. I have donated very prized rare items to Doive and Famine... I am sure a certain robe donated to each of them recently will surely keep them warm this winter...

I really have no need for gold on Siege Perilous... I am pretty set for my life on UO... If and when I do get such desirable rares, I do donate them... That is part of addiction... Dyes and fancy things are just a plus.

LOL I am now sorry for not posting clearly enough. I really was joking back with you. I thought my wink on Adrianas kinda said it. lol I overstepped that line that gets blury to me by your reaction. I really didn't go get a drink, didn't really think EM Aurora handed you items. And I really didn't believe you trashed stuff. Most of all I realy didnt mean you were in any way shape or form a bad soul. I misunderstand the board at times myself. I Deeply and greatly apoligize for my over step. I will go back back and edit (remove my jesting post) .

Don't believe there was a either or issue happening!

I am happy your garden project went well! A community garden is a anyday thing every day of the year. Anyday a toon wishes to go look at it, theres no problem it will be there every day of the year. The same pleasing look over and over and over. For those into that GREAT have at it!

But if Luna (or any community place) was decorated a with a pleasing christmas look for only a month, I would go look at it more often during that month, because time is limited. I myself would be into a lil pixal change displaying a cheery christmas theme to match holiday events comming up! To each thier own!
