[EM REQUEST] Need a PVP Arena

He is looking for an arena to hold this week's PVP tourney. See the requirements below:

1)Dueling pit with TWO separate dueling spots both 10x10 on the same floor
2)Must be a public building

I have a spot... It is flat now with zero lock downs. I am not sure I have the time or skills to build such arena.

The Stonehaven arena in east Umbra is available, but I'm not likely to change the floor plan, as doing so destroys the seating areas. Since two 10x10 areas on the same floor is impossible, perhaps it will be suitable. It is certainly easy to get to and I have no qualms in making it public for an event.

I would think a 9x9 could be worked out, going caddy corner. It is probably to get through the duels faster, depending on how many people show up. Or maybe to do warriors and mages at same time?

Kat's place is awesome and already built. The EM should consider it.

Then move the fights around. TnT's place should be considered among the top due to experience and crowd control.

Agreed. Area effect spells and similar weapons could become a problem as well, even if they were on separate floors.

I don't want to rain on this parade. I would love to see this happen. But more than one duel in a building is asking for trouble.

There's already a PvP arena near Wrong.. if it's not going to be used, delete it for housing.

I could do two 9x10 areas in the front of my buildings without changing
my other structures by too much. I will try the change tonight...
and report back.

I hate seeing things go to waste, I'm sure the place has some shard-history.. but if you won't use it, get rid of it.

Well I'm disappointed! I opened this thread hoping the EM needed help with a design of an arena, like Brit bank was redesigned.


I think we should have an arena, public, with levers that can be pulled from a control room, that sets traps and raises obstacles out of the floor as they are pulled.

You can have a plain, empty arena, or set it up however you wish before the fight... a large arena, like Jehlom pits. Someone could be in the control room pulling levers as you fight...

So much fun to be had... gas traps leak out of walls like in Doom, fire pillars like in Covetous, basic champ spawn floor traps, blocking walls to break line of sight, etc...

I suppose it will never be.

I agree with you about wrong if we arent going to be using it for duel events it should be removed or remodel for some other event to take place.

Might be able to work something out with gozas, theoretically, if you don't mind things looking like ass.

Is there a point where you can walk under a goza, while it still being on the same floor? Or does it block movement if it's not exactly 16 or however many "z axis points" above you?

ummmm am I mistaken or haven't em's in the past had the ability to create their own structures of any size and dimension they wanted and even set guards and area rules to suit themselves... my God if your putting on an event take the time to make it interesting and note worthy and invite the populace.... and if a fight night is your idea of a really good event, we have been holding those on siege for years the best I can remember was hosted by otf's at Shak's Island... and ofcourse memnoch had a weekly event for awhile as did tnt....

not to put a damper on the EM cause atleast he/she is trying just think events could have a little more flare.

but then again i haven't played in two years and a fight night isn't gonna intrest me...

No muss, no fuss, and the server cleans up when it is over. (Just no control over access via housing, so if that is the intent, it would require a player built house).

Good idea! I approve...except, don't do the cloth on the ground. People will be trying to manuver and be picking up cloth.
Crates for bounds is good though on crumbling continent, EM would just need to place a red healer there for event.
