We arrived in the throne room of Ter Mur's Royal Palace awaiting the beginning of the campaign to stop the still at-large Archer who followed Casca. After a short wait Queen Dawn and her Gargyl counterpart appeared, passing through the crowd and taking their place before the throne to address those assembled.
Following a resounding "Aye!", Dawn then summoned a moongate and beckoned us follow, after the Garyl Soverign gave a final passing comment.
Exiting the gate the crowd appeared at a previously unreachable section of Ter Mur to the far southwest. A small path left the arrival glade and the crowd was beckoned to follow it, though it appeared someone had expected our coming and had barred the way with a maze of moongates.
After a period of confusion the group reached the end of the path.. and the battle began.
Hordes of ninja, executioners, and balrons swarmed the fighters, overrunning the abandoned desert settlement on the island. Queen Dawn charged straight into the fray, assisting everyone in turning back our assailants. Having worked our way southward a fair distance, a "Muderous Archer Clone" appeared and attacked. Stronger than any of the other creatures, it took several minutes to take down.
After the skirmish, Casca's Archer appeared himself and ran eastward, taunting the crowd.
Everyone followed him, fighting through more of the monsters the Archer had obviously assembled, slowly working their way east, then northward. The Archer appeared again near the center of the settlement, this time directly taunting Queen Dawn before summoning a second Clone, this one apparently "Whimsical".
The battle again shifted southward before a new being apepared and attacked.. seeming to be similar to the previous clones, but at the same time somewhat different.
During the fight with it, Dawn expressed her concerns to the situation at hand of the intended capture of Casca's Archer.
Most of the area now clear of monsters, Dawn led the crowd north to another building, stopping shortly to investigate before remarking that it had already been cleared out and taking us again southward. This time however the structures were not as clear as they had been.
The archer stood and watched as Dawn helped subdue the beasts, before attempting what seemed to be an escape.
As he once again prepared to run, however, a member of our group did something that should have been done long ago; the doors were suddenly blocked by an energy field.
Having resigned himself to not be able to take his game farther, the archer spoke to Dawn directly.
A member of the crowd asked if we would continue to pursue him that night.
However, that rest would not yet come, as a final creature was summoned by the Archer as he departed.
A simple fight compared to what had previously transpired, but it served its purpose of keeping us from following the Archer wherever he had vanished to.
And with that the group dispersed.
For any that wish to explore the new area of Ter Mur (though it is relatively devoid of life), I have left a rune on the steps of a friend's house in Luna for any interested party to use. Please note that to reach the northern half of this continent, you must teleport through a gap in the thin path that is too small to be traversed on foot. I shall add an appropriate rune for non-mages to use later.
