Eggs and Honey

I thought I remembered reading that the Nest & Eggs and the Beehive in the Spring Turn-In Rewards produced eggs and honey like the fruit trees. I can't find the post, so could anyone please verify if this is true or not? Thanks much!

the nest dosent produce eggs that im aware of but the hive does produce honey pots

It would make far too much sense for the nest to produce eggs. In the spirit of the truly baffling reg-producing cat, I thought perhaps they might create an egg-producing pig.

I wanted the nest sooooo bad when it was introduced on the list of turn in rewards until I saw it.
The eggs look brown in the picture on the rewards list and it just looked too much like a pile of................................poo.
