I have attempted to make some money out of this... But it is actually not too profitable at all. Failing to create the items is something you will see a lot in the tinker gump.
Too many possibilities of skills and stats, add to this that roughly 1/4 to 1/6 rings you do not fail to make has the 50% EP or 5% SSI...

I think I burnt 200 of each Turq and Ecru, I kept 2 of them and selling the only other ones worth selling.

My tinker tali is 28/29 which helps, but still very random with results as Mal points out
