You mean the whole FOUR people I'm having this conversation with?.......
Noone has agreed with what you are saying. Not.....One......Person and its doubtful any future posters will agree with you.

I am not claiming to know the technical reasons behind how it works. I can tell you that any time I run into a specific guild on chessy, they can outrun me when I'm moving full speed. I have 0 chance of survival if a group of them see me. As far as group PVP...yeah It would be great if every guild out there had the numbers to do so. My guild is fairly small, so we need to run when things get nasty. well, that is impossible to do against these people.I'm really hard pressed to believe this. Everyone who I've talked to who knows anything about coding or writing programs or anything that would qualify have told me exactly what I thought... and that unless you specifically are hacking the server, there is no way you can surpass the speed cap.
Maybe in high-information spots (maybe a huge fight of 50+ players in Yew, along with a ton of houses and tons of items in each house, generating tons of information) would create a lot of lag for certain computers... and those running the 'speedhacks' would have a slight advantage over those who didnt... but even then it shouldn't matter in the outcome of a fight.
Where are your crossheals? Your team-coordination? Group PvP is all about how well you work TOGETHER, not how fast your character can run away from a fight.
Even then... I PvP alllll the time and I never have the problem where I'm dying to someone just because they are slightly faster than me. It's never been the case and I call BS whenever someone tries to claim it. You got out played... that's it.
*resembles an elephant farting*You mean the whole FOUR people I'm having this conversation with?
Everyone (the many more than FOUR people) who PvP and know the truth on this matter... are laughing at me for trying to talk about this... because we all know that those crying just REFUSE to get it.
No matter what I say. Even if God himself parted the ceiling above your computer this very moment, decended into your lap and told you that Draxous is 100% correct and that these speedhacks really are for the most part a psychological advantage... you wouldn't believe it.
After all, who the hell wants to hear that the reason they aren't doing that great in PvP compared to others is because they aren't that great AT PvP...
well, yeah, ya know... we all like to feel like winners and when the vast majority pay someone (that someone being EAMythic) only to find out that they really aren't a winner, oh god... hell breaks loose.
So I understand... yes, I really do... you are buttsore.
Now get over it.
The term "hacking" originated from programmers "hacking" away at their code. By modifying files that the client looks to for animation, you are "hacking" the client. Try to understand.
You missed the earlier goodies.I lol'ed. C'mon BR, you can do better!humungusness
In my guild... as an individual or small group... we fight out numbered all the time. Teamwork and skill is what puts us out on top of the competition.I am not claiming to know the technical reasons behind how it works. Ys give yourself a slapedit: *decided my post sounded more grumpy and cynical than I want to sound right now*
Oh, so mr. pvp allll the time. you never had a dexer disarm you while, according to your screen they aren't even next to you. you never had an archer run past you and conc blow you while you are both running full speed, in a line, in the same direction. Dont give me the ping bs either, i have played with an outstanding ping and have people skip past me. I haven't seen one single thing lynk has been incorrect about in his argument with you. And i'm fairly confident that no one will agree with you. I hope your" oh so credible sources" know what they are talking about. I work in IT, on full scale networks and server farms, on large databases and client applications, and i guarantee to you that speedhacking is real. I could care less if you take my word for it, my guess is you prolly use the **** yourself and are jsut playing "cover up" but who is to judge? What chars and shard you play? i'll tell ya if you are.Even then... I PvP alllll the time and I never have the problem where I'm dying to someone just because they are slightly faster than me. It's never been the case and I call BS whenever someone tries to claim it. You got out played... that's it.
Are you that ****ing stupid?So... because I'm trying to understand... are you saying that by casting mini heal and then trying to run... my character modified the files in my UO folder?
After all... the 'passable hax' was INCLUDED with the 'tree-stump hack'
Please help me make sense of this puzzlebox.
As I... just can't.
And yes, the website that offers these programs has all three modifications bundled up in one executable.Do you remember the rubberbanding trick to get past bagballs/boxes/candelabras? Basically you ran toward them and casted a mini heal on the run because the passable check for those items was done server side.
EA changed that to be a client side check. People now have the ability to walk over candelabras, tombstones, bagballs, (insert multiple other objects) that block normal people. It's a simple editor, but most people (like you) are idiots and there is a website that has compiled an executable that does the field/stump/passable hack all in one for them.
