FYI Follow up.

Ok I retried the code sent to me at some ungodly hour this morning, using my OLD computer on pokey connection with IE 8 even and guess what ?

Unlike Thurs. it went lickity split no fails no hitches and my oldest chr. existing pre lost lands acct. is now hugging the giant koi pie he just made as a UPGRADED high seas GM fisherman GM Chef. YAY ! FINALLY he can fish HS like my younger acct. has been able to do.

Unbelievable ! Now I may have been charged the full price during the sale, but at this point I don't care. I just wanted the CODE [to work] and it failed miserably...with every attempt I made last Thurs. till I gave up.

But at 0700 central THIS MORNING ! YAY it all went off without a hitch and even rapidly so, thus *he is goin fishin' as a newly upgraded HS fisherman...finally ! *does happy dance*

For those that are still having problems, I think it's caused by a https redirection issue.

If you are clicking the accounts button from the logon screen and going to

Account Management

Then you'll probably get a session busy/reset error.



Try following the account management link from the uoherald page instead:

I don't remember if I saw this the day of or not, but going back now through my emails and have found no notification, EA and UO facebook pages carry no notification. UO herald carrys nothing, there is no official feed fed thread here regarding this.

I'm just curious how many saw it in time to take advantage, how many would take advantage if they had a weeks notice to upgrade accounts that they had previously left un-upgraded.

Not miffed, well, maybe a bit, but more curious as to the result of such a super secret promotion.

The promotion was not a secret. It was for the entire EA store and if you are signed up for their deal notifications you would have gotten an email. It isn't UO specific and the UO developers probably had no idea about the sale going on.

I doubt I checked the "Please spam me about all your titles" box as I am really only interested in one.

Just curious, did you get any lead time at all or did you get the announcement the day of?

I still find it surprising that I didn't find anything on the EA FB page. It has links to all the corp web pages including the store.

I got the email at 5:38AM the day of the sale. So about 7 hours before it started.

Glad to hear it Queen Zen still wish it hadn't charged you full price but like you I'd have been glad to just get it working.

I was rather sad to hear about the sale since about a week or so before I'd already spent full price to upgrade my second set of 4 accounts. I did 4 the first time and 4 the second time... bum deal for me I guess I should have waited. But I am rather impatient.

So then I hear the big ship is account bound.... and now I'm like great... I'm guessing though that I just don't want the ship after all.
