EA President says UO has "100's of Thousands of Subscribers"

I hope they plan on doing a 10-15 day return to UO promotion for the 11th anniversary.

It should not circumvent the 90 day house decay timer though. People should actually have to pay for their house to be refreshed again. There's no need to have every house in the game auto-refreshed until mid December

No one who is on a 10-15 welcome back timer should be able to place a house either.

YES, i placed a castle and a keep not long time ago.
keep i sold, castle i use myself for storage 3 acc.
so now i can close 2 acc permanently, and only one i open from time to time

They have 30k. If they lose 10k more, UO is done. No they have 100k. 100K x 12 is 1.2 million a month. 12 million yearly. No No they have 250k accounts but only 175k are paying. BUT WOW has 11 million with 7 million active.

Who cares what's the correct figure?
You have A customers. They give you A x fee a month. Let's call it A'.
You have B employees. They cost you B x salary a month. Let's call it B'.
You have servers. They cost you C a month.
As long as A' > B' + C, you have profit. But you know what? if A goes down, what kind of magic will keep A' > B' + C?
Let's see the possibilities :
1- increase of monthly fees
2- decrease of employees' salaries
3- decrease of number of employees
4- decrease of servers

1- lol
2- just try
3- current situation
4- difficult to do but can be done, however the effect is limited


So yeah the number of subscriber is VITAL for UO to live, and that, whatever the current number of subscribers is.
