BTW...I never said the lava lamp was the anniversary gift either.

We are ALL going through it again and anyone playing right now and sticking with it....ALL deserve to be considered founders too. I'm certainly glad this decision is left to the fair mindedness of our devs and not to players. Pettiness makes me feel ill.

I refused to play my founder for years soley because of some of the stuck up founder snobs I met. Some founders have made themselves look rather foolish with the way they act and talk.

I have this on one of my founder sim's bio and it's something that everyone should think about: "It's not the age of the sim that matters, it's the heart and soul that each player gives the game that truly makes them great."

That 1 week old sim has just as valuable a contribution to make to the game as much as the oldest sim on the game has.

You don't want a flag so no one should have them?

I'm not going to let another player's paranoia ruin the game for me. I don't really give a flying fudge if someone bought their founder account or not. If they want to throw their money away, that's pretty much their own business isn't it?

I am not all that concerned over whether or not a person has a flag guy on their bio or not and I'm definitely not threatened or impressed by it. I'm not gonna kiss someone's rear end simply because they have a flag.

I look at my sims and think...that's the one that started it all for me. It's pretty much 'sentimental' value. Which I would venture is pretty much what most people with their original beta accounts feel.

And that's the way people transitioning into EAland should feel years from now when they look at their little EAland Founder Icon.

It does absolutely nothing. It just sits there....a nice mark. It just shows that this sim was around for a remarkable time in TSO or EAland history....the beginning of either.

That's all it is but a few others would make it seem more than it really is.

well gee, I just meant that I and I was speaking for myself do not get why people complain about a symbol because I and again I am speaking for myself could care less about having one.

I DID not dismiss nor belittle the efforts of the original founder's in any way. I did however agree that some founders out there have a sence superiority. After all the game play was free and very much on a voluntary basis.

By the way I missed being a founder by 1 month Started December 2002

You're going to need to log on two accounts at once - one being the one that has all your cards. Then just trade between your accounts until each one has cards.

Take a look at this thread for details on how to run two accounts at once.

Since we are now considered founders of EA-Land will there be another Founders 'icon' on our bio or will we just know because of the lava lamp. If so, then the newbies would not know who the founders are in the game unless they enter the lots and find the lava lamp. Anyone have any idea?

I think the icon is ok... but i have a question ... or two

The Icon is to be put in front of the founders home.... What if you dont own a home ....

What if no one ever steps foot in your home except you and a few friends... How is anyone besides you and your friends to know that your a founder.

And if you have 8 sims in EAL.... which sim is the founder ? and does it make sense to have one of them a founder and not all.. Again we go back to how will one know that your a founder or not. ... If your pretty much hiding the founder icon either in your house or (if the founder icon goes on one sim) if your not playing the "founder" sim ...... Why are we trying to hide our new found status?

I sure dont wanna hide it ... Im very excited about being a founder in the game i love so much .....

I like the idea of making the EA Land icon white and changing TSO founders to gold.

I like the idea too except... Since most worked hard for the "icon" they have now for being a founder of TSO.... Theirs should be white because that is what it was at the time of issue and that is what it is now , that they have come to EAL. So they should keep the white icon of founders of TSO.... and those of us that are "founders" of EAL should have the gold ones....

Maybe ..... give the TSO founders the white icon that they have now... And idk make the flag of their founder male/female gold... to let those know that they are a founder of both TSO and EAL? Just a thought

I never was a founder, I did play in 2003 but left after a year. I couldn't stick it out.. Cheers to the TSO founders that did ! The game would have been long gone if they didn't, lets say from start up. Tf the true founders that stayed and ran the game want thier founders icon.. what is the prob ?

SO ya, I think they should get something, at least keep their flags and get another icon ,also for being here for Ealand beta or a differnt one all together to block out the ones that bought theirs. A Tso-Ealand combined icon for sticking it out though thick and thin.. for being loyal to TSO and for being here still to help keep the game going.

Or another suggestion could be having the white icon holding a lava lamp.

For those that worked hard and stuck with TSO all those years I applaud you because you made the game what it is today. Living through all the bugs and giving of ideas makes me wish I had done the same thing. I started playing back in Nov. '02. I would play for about a year and take a couple of months off. Everytime I came back I felt like a newbie. Alot of things had changed. Those that I would meet made it feel like the original TSO that I remember back in the day.

That's what I love about TSO. The people. Founders, newbies and those in transition.

So I give thanks.

Maybe they'll have us give them ideas for the founder icons.

Considering we have the ability to craft our own objects, it would also be cool if someone could craft a special object for founders. Hell if i had the ability to, I would.

Are there any founders out there gifted enough to make a flag with the founder icon? perhaps even adding "since 2002" under the icon?

THis is what you are worried about? I've seen you at town hall and others, asking about amnesty gifts and founder icons. Um, I'm not sure this is priority, they have already announced that YES, we will have some sort of founder gift or icon. Yes, we are getting amnesty gifts. Now help us worry about the serious issues here. Fixing that DAMN LAG, and mainting free accts. THat store for u, the triple A store...has like 25 hidden sims in there to be number one on list. Lord knows she hasn't any friends and can't make it there with actual customer service. I got banned yesterday from there for asking a question. Reported it as well. I'm thinking allt he free accts are causing some of that lag. Also, who cares about cream suits for bears? What kind of person goes around dressed as a bear anyway? NOt an issue to bring up at Town Hall

Thank you so much for clarifying the rules concerning what bears should wear and what issues are appropriate for discussion at the Town Hall.

Perhaps you could post a complete list covering every stage of permissible/proper/appropriate player's behavior in the Forum designed for that kind of post - the "Blow It Out Yer Exhaust" forum.
