I was brainstorming about some of the content that could be added. Feel free to share your ideas.
Despise - nature/botany theme
1) Rare monster can sometimes be found, called the Bog Lord. Defeating this foe can yield the following rewards:
a) Rabbit's Foot - talisman with luck property
b) Cape of Fortune - cloak with luck property (can be altered for gargoyles)
c) Special title
d) Transferrable deed that upon use increases stable slots by one
e) Boots of agility - boots with 5% SSI (Hmm can boots be altered for gargoyles? Don't want to leave them out)
2) Planting a green thorn in the dungeon can yield:
a) Sod -grass tile similar to carpet tile - can be used for decorating
b) A plot of earth - dirt tile same as above
c) Mother Nature's Tear - a water tile same as above
3) New seeds should spawn for vanilla plant, coffee plant, and four leaf clover.
a) Vanilla plant provides vanilla as a resource
b) Coffee plant provides coffee beans. They can be brewed. Under the effect of coffee, swing speed and casting speed are increased
c) Four leaf clover provides a consumable resource that increases luck
4) A new tamable animal would be a nice addition
5) New stealables - I don't know if it's possible, but the woven mats often seen in T2A areas and some of the other furniture seem to fit in with a nature theme

Destard - high end theme
1) Have rare colored pets spawn here ( Prepares to be flamed :) )
2) This is the dungeon to come to if you need slayers. Increased spawn rate for slayers. The only place where fey slayers are found too.
3) We need a way to remove properties from jewelry. Perhaps this dungeon can provide a way like the whetstone.
4) There are a lot of cool tapestries in the game. They would make nice stealables.
5) Chests can spawn in this dungeon with "themed loot" somewhat similar to merchant/pirate ship chests.
a) Magic themed - armor that includes sdi, moonstone jewelry, portable one use arcane circle that gives max focus (prepares to be flamed)
b) Warrior themed - armor that includes ssi, "mini me" fighting companion - summoning the companion will divert all the damage you take for x seconds to your companion. I guess like a mirror image, but you can only summon one and will have a cool down.
c) decorator themed - rare furniture, stone, ceramic and wooden floor tiles
6) Maybe stat raising scrolls can spawn here - consuming the scroll will add x points to a stat

I personally would HATE for them to Revamp Despise. I still use that dungeon quite frequently to train up "new" characters. I've never found a better way. I REFUSE to play whack a golem all day. I'd rather work skills on actual monsters and Despise has always been the best.

Great Ideas, the current on-going events are interesting, but the rewards have no attraction. I think some usable rewards would encourage people to play more.

I don't think it was ever the intent to re-theme these spaces. Just to upgrade the content and the rewards via a new loot system. Having said that, having new tames might be a welcome addition. But deceit should definitely remain an undead fortress.

Some of these ideas are very cool and might work nicely into a revamp reparation of a high end dungeon like, oh I dunno...what is that one that starts with a K again? :)

Oh and seriously Wind, (Wynd?) needs a very very serious upgrade and does not really have a theme except that it is magical, that could be all kinds of stuff. Kind of looking forward to seeing what they dream that space into being.

I also seem to remember it being bandied about that there was going to be a connection between dungeons and their anti virtues with the opposing towns and their virtues. That was originally supposed to tie in with new player experiences. Now I have no idea what that strategy looks like. But I long for a more comprehensive virtue system along those lines.

why change the dungeon themes? Besides, if any dungeons DONT need ot be changed it's despise and destard, both are heavily used as is. Despise l2 the ettins and earth eles are where basicly EVERYONE trains new melee fighters (at least those that don't just macro it on a golem...and if the game wants to mandate that what's the point in even training, why not just allow spawning with gm skill) as the level is perfect and the loot is pretty good for a newbie. Level 3 has the ogre lords which are used by faction players and warriors training around 100-110 skill, the titans at the back which is the best source of L5 maps in fel (plus they have great levels of fame and lots of gold), and of course the champion spawn which is probably the #1 most active spot in the entire facet. MAYBE the top floor could use some work, though still it's a great place for newer characters to train and make some good gold off of the spined leather, maybe thin out the lizardmen and add one of the new ones from wrong as a "boss" . Destard...the thought of that place being bumped again scares me a bit, it's already teeming with greater dragons and shadow wyrms, maybe just bump the loot on the existing spawn? It's hard enough to stay alive in there as is.

I really don't like this trend of removing areas that are great for training and having fun on lower levels chars just so 6x120 characters with hundreds of millions of gold have yet another place to farm shinies all day, and doubly so for shame as it was my ,and may other peoples, favorite place to mine as it had just the right mix of danger and reward. Once they're all "revamped" what are incomplete/new characters supposed to do? I know if when I had started UO if I asked how i train up and peopel handed me a dagger, a golem, and said "go stand outside town hitting him for 16-20 hours....oh and don't go afk because if someone pages you it's bannable" I would have logged out never to return.

Besides, if it means more monsters that look like someone dipped them in a dye tub and it somhow gave them 10k hp....i'd prefer if no more of the dungeons were revamped at all, either just buff the existing monster stats reasonably (ridiculous amounts of HP like the stuff in wrong is NOT reasonable....what is this..."tamers and sampires online"?) and add a "greater" or "lord" tag or something to them, or actually create new monsters with new artwork..when a "cave troll" looks like an ogre dipped in paint, or a "mud elemental" looks like someone tossed a bogling in a kiln, it takes away from the game somewhat.

I agree with Raptor. I use despise to train newer characters. Now I haven't tried out shame with a melee fighter under 80 skill... but my guess is it wouldn't go over very well. One thing I used to like about shame prior to the revamp was that the monsters were often fairly spread out so I could take a newer archer down there and I wouldn't get destroyed. Now there are large clusters of crap around and there is NO way to not get destroyed. With all the massive pockets of casting monsters in some area's lower down there is no way a newer character could survive. I used to also enjoy killing blood elementals down there on my tamer... I can't do that anymore. Won't say that's a terrible thing but it's a big change. I don't know where a new character would train if they revamp despise.

Mark me as another one that will cry if they revamp Despise.
Despise is THE dungeon to train up a char since we "lost" Shame.

Don't get me wrong, I like the new Shame, but that place isn't good for training a new, poorly equipped char anymore. The spawn is too thick and the monsters too strong and lasting even at level 1.
If the same happens to Despise... :(

Cut it out ya'll. They are all going to get revamped and receive the new loot at that time. Feed back on what is and what is not desirable in a revamp is completely appropriate. Maybe something like asking if instead of a whole new set of encounters, couldn't they just give the AI and stats a tweak, and then put the new loot table on. Change is not "bad" just as a base position. Change for change sake....eeenh, mibi.

I like some of the following ideas as drops:

a) Rabbit's Foot - talisman with luck property
b) Cape of Fortune - cloak with luck property (can be altered for gargoyles)
Maybe these items could be included in with the 10th anniversary dungeon drops as part of a brand new 15th anniversary collection. I don't agree with most of the other ideas, or themes, quite yet. I do like the idea of consumable luck as long as the amount is say +100 or something small.

Oh and seriously Wind, (Wynd?) needs a very very serious upgrade and does not really have a theme except that it is magical, that could be all kinds of stuff. Kind of looking forward to seeing what they dream that space into being.
Wind is a fairly small dungeon, plus, as it is right now, only accessible to mages whom are 72 magery or higher. Not a great place to renovate for the masses due to that limitation. I agree the place could use an upgrade but not worth it when there are larger, more substantial areas to upgrade.

Right, but in as much as it has to be touched for the overall loot system revamp, some attention here in the way of new mobs could be fun and exciting. I'm not in any hurry for any of it to get done. I'm more of a mind that it get done right, and , hopefully, preferably, before we have another leadership change. So, within three years, give or take.

Throwing in another vote for Despise being good the way it is. It's THE place a newbie goes after they're done with Haven Island. If they do anything with Despise, I'd say just give it a small cleanup. That ledge above the swamp water where the earth elementals spawn and get stuck, fix that.
